I was putting rear seat covers in and folded down the seat back to pull the anchor through. I can’t get the seat back to latch in place again. It is just not catching. Anyone else experience this?

Yep.

I took a screwdriver and manually released and re-latched the mechanism a couple of times.

Yes I just slammed it hard and it finally latched.

That worked! I was being too gentle. The rear seat cover on the accessories website fits perfectly.

I have the same issue. I cannot believe Ford's parts are so shitty that I have to slam my back seat for it to latch.

Some do have a hard time - it seems some needed a little working in and lube and some required adjusting the catch on the rear bulkhead, mine has been fine.

Might be interesting to start getting some build dates on some of these issues, it seems odd that even with the more common items like this, or hood shake or radio issues there are many of us that have not experienced any of them

Just slam it back hard. I had the same issue with mine, it was not latched in place when I got it and every time I hit the brakes it would tilt forward a bit and thud back in place. I just slammed it back hard and it latched.

How am I supposed to get over there when I'm standing over here?!?

I had the same issue. Now I just push the left side of the center headrest and it latches every time.

Pretty much. Imagine how lost most of the world would be without the internet…no offense to the OP.
What? Let’s talk when you all actually get your Mavs. It needed more force than I was willing to use on my brand new truck. All is well now and my seats are covered. My 4 year old can cookie crumb his heart out.
