Yes when my kids get in the middle seat always goes off but no one is sitting there.

you can disable that job on a per seat basis. The owner's manual tells you how. Or search thread titles on MTC for "disable seat belt chime."

Mine had been wonky since I first got it. (24XLT)
Soon after I got the truck in January I had a larger but not huge person ride in the back a couple times. The center sensor was triggered, so we had to buckle it. And then after they got out the truck still said they were still there, even the next day, and I had to buckle that belt. It recovered after a few days, but the same thing happened next time they rode in back.
But now, the rear occupancy sensors don't trigger at all - the screen never shows red, but it does show green when they buckle.
