Maverick is a cruising machine!

I love my Maverick and I love getting home safely. That's what driving is to me, so yeah, I'm around the speed limit most of the time.

I drive the same way - although getting up to the speed limit is where I have fun. I rarely get higher than 4th gear manually shifting my Lobo

I live in a town where folks normally drive 5-10 miles over the speed limit. I get passed plenty once I’m at the speed limit.

I guess I must, I love my Maverick but it’s just not a composed or cushy ride to me but everyone has different experiences and opinions.

Mine is like driving on a cloud too. Except the roads in my town have lots of turbulence and I’m on slightly lowered & stiffer suspension.

Makes a difference what someone came from as to what they think of the ride of a Maverick. After 33 years of driving the classic Ranger and putting 500K on 3 of them anything would be an upgrade.

Not saying the AWD Maverick is a low bar, just saying if you came from a Lexus ES or a Mercedes S Class you might not share my enthusiasm for the ride of a Maverick AWD. Personally I feel the ride of my Maverick is light years ahead of its price point and for me that is a defining measure.

I’ve never been one to speed or be in a big hurry while driving but, so far, I’ve noticed I love cruising in my Mav. Just taking it easy and enjoying the ride. It’s smooth, comfortable and easy to maneuver. Slow rolling is my new driving experience. Anyone else feel the same way?

Right there with you! For me, the Maverick is a very comfortable ride. I really enjoy driving it! However, I had a 2025 XL Hybrid loaner vehicle issued to me while my truck was getting the updated CV alxes. The seats in that new, 2025 XL were horrible! Felt like they didn't have any cushion material in them. Poked right into the sensitive areas of the thigh bone! I remember reading about a guy who could not stand the seats in his Maverick. I don't remember if his was an XL, but I wonder if this is an XL model issue?

Not sure Curtis. I have an XLT and the seats are “unique cloth bucket seats” according to the window sticker. I’m tall and thin and they are very comfortable. Manual adjust but that’s fine with me.

I was pleasantly surprised when I test drove and eventually bought my 26 Hybrid Maverick AWD. I own a 22 Bronco Sport and half way expected what I would be getting into with the Maverick but I swear the Maverick rides better than the Bronco Sport and also has better feeling seats than the Bronco Sport.
