Power windows are 100% proven, low tech and work. The ONLY reason to not go with them is marketing BS. At least you can add them after the fact, but power windows are super simple and use practically no power.
However power windows have pricey motors that burn out. Crank windows always work as long as your hands do 🤷‍♂️ old technology but longevity is far superior.

I actually owned a Taurus with crank windows but power locks. Never thought of it “before” I owned that car but easily the power locks were more important than the windows once I was driving it.

That's different, didn't know they would do power locks but not windows. I will say surprisingly, my unc had a 1956 Cadillac Sedan deVille and it had power windows and locks 🤯 until he had attained that vehicle I didn't realize power options were available way back then 🤷‍♂️

This will end up with a small, loyal enthusiast community, but I doubt it'll ever become a huge selling vehicle. Too basic for today's buyers, and if you start adding options you quickly get into a price range where a full featured truck like the Maverick would be competition.

There’s properly taxes on EVs?? That's wild! Sorry, but just curious as I have the EB
My state has annual property tax on all vehicles - cars, trucks, motorcycles, RVs etc payable to the city or town. Then on top of that you have to pay for your license plates to the state every 3 years.

It won't take much in slate options to reach the Maverick price.
Any color other than Gray add $500-$1,500
Here are your choices. 🤔

I can see both sides of the window thing. My 1990 Mistubishi Mighty Max has crank windows, and while they work flawlessly, trying to roll the passenger side window up or down from the driver seat is annoying. Especially if you're actively driving at the time. Makes you really miss that magic button.

I've got crank windows in my 1991 Camaro and when it randomly starts raining is it a pain, maybe. However I roll driver's side up first and have mastered reaching across while driving to roll the passenger window up. I've had burned out power windows before. While the crank might be inconvenient at times I kinda prefer them 🤷‍♂️ again tho, I'm old school and want a CD player in my Maverick 🤣 to each their own 👍

I had a couple VW Beetle convertibles back in the day and I could easily crank down all 4 from the drivers seat, and even pop the Convertable top off.

I had a '88 Plymouth Horizon, same thing, could roll all the windows down from the driver's seat. Small cars can be convenient...at times
