B) how do they know that is the number
C) how do they know which ones?

It's as if they know it's only the days "Bob" was covering extra shifts for "Jose" over 5 years, and "Bob" did it wrong.

For critical safety related attachments, the fastener torque installation data is usually recorded by the assembly tooling controllers for each VIN. Data can be retrieved to determine the torque/angle (rotational angle while tightening) installation for each of these attachments. The bolt is like a spring that is stretched in order to provide the necessary clamp load to prevent loosening.

So if, for example, they find loose bolts or some failures later on some units, they can go back and look at all units built during a certain time period and possibly determine which exact units had bolts that were installed incorrectly due to a tooling malfunction or an operator/process issue.

Sounds like the recall was issued last Wed. 5/27. If you're on it, you're on it and it will show up. Things have likely changed recently with AI assisting to find the VINs and publish the notifications. Perhaps there will be more of these justified, small scope recalls moving forward. Either that, or we've been duped for Trillions on the use of AI to snuff out manufacturing defects. 4500 safer Mavs on the road hopefully.

My suspension has always had a clunk at low speeds. My dream is to retorque everything but I'm dealer service right now, no garage or driveway. Anybody have a torque sheet, lol.

Yes, the Recall System works great. Practice makes perfect I suppose.

Tremors (and Lobos) have different suspension bits compared to other models. Not sure about the Bronco Sports.

I think all models use the same ball joint & control arms though? Anyway, CB - stay off high speed roads or twisty canyon roads until fixed!?!

Edit…my lobo has recall 26C10 - but I think we all have that one (trailer program)

Last week I had both front struts and control arms (failed bushings and ball joints) replaced on my 2022 at 34k miles. Mine is not showing this recall though, so just some crappy parts for me!

24 tremor, not on the list. YET. would imagine there will be a whole lot more on this list eventually. too many years involved for it only to be 4,000 some vehicles?
