Hopefully your 2026 2.0's exhaust is loud inside the cab like mine is on my 2026 Lariat 2.0. If so, maybe you can come up with something better for us old, retired folks.
I don't think they have Hybrid swaps yet. Maybe they can be the first.

I don't know which is more fun . . . buying and finally driving the Maverick or doing the builds.

A threaded fitting on the exhaust pipe so we could screw on a few different sounding mufflers and hang them on the garage wall to use as we see fit.
It would make sound tests simple.
I could be loud and obnoxious or stealthy if I needed to sneak up to my girlfriend’s house and steal her out from under daddy’s ears.

That would be fairly easy with V-band clamps. Just need to make each muffler a standard length and a couple vbands, the hardest part would be lifting it up each time. For R&D that's a pretty good idea.

At that point it would be more effective to create a valved exhaust

Smog legal tune AND a way to control gear selection. My’22 EB does not even have paddles. Heck, how about a manual tranny sway kit? Can you imagine how much fun these would be with a manual transmission???

I am stoked to see Steeda taking the deep dive into the Maverick world and would love to see my 2024 Maverick get some of these mods trickled down even though there was already a pretty good selection available on the site. Here is my wishlist so far that Steeda might be able to accomplish:
  • Charge pipes: Aluminum or woven composite, just to keep the power in and fill in all the gaps in real world performance. It’s also insurance against brittle aged plastic charge pipes that come with OEM. Water/Meth injection ports are cool but I am too lazy to keep it stocked and I’m not racing in a Tremor.
  • Intercooler, maybe a sprayer.: I’ve seen a few options already for intercoolers, but a sprayer for even a daily driver in AZ would be fun and take care of some of that heat soak. If the hardline/sprayer nozzles also attach to the intercooler it would be pretty slick.
  • Sidekick/off-road exhaust with a big quiet muffler: I’m not looking for volume. Nobody seems to be making what I am looking for as a bolt on exhaust yet. The turbo already chokes down the noise rather significantly so what’s left from the 2.0L I4 is not necessarily the sound of performance. The turbo noises are fun with it’s blow off valve, it’s my soundtrack in a Maverick.
  • The ability to select gears on a Maverick not equipped with paddles: a lot of Maverick owners tow, and sometimes I am looking to just be one gear lower decelerating. I believe higher trims on the Maverick might already have paddles and if not we may be able to snag a wheel from a Ford Escape/Bronco Sport. I would think using a tool like FORScan would be necessary. Maybe just best left to someone who can LEGO it out of ford parts.
  • Skid plates, strut braces, and chassis reinforcement.
  • Efficiency mods, better 91 octane tuning, ethanol tuning/components.
  • Accelerator pedal lengthened or relocated: It’s just awkward, I don’t have small feet but I find myself wiffing at the gas pedal when transitioning from the brakes with bulkier shoes. I can’t be the only one.

I look forward to seeing what Steeda comes up with!

Don't forget the the front and rear bumper replacement covers, covering all models! I'd love to get rid of my ugly black plastics on my XL.
