Is a larger Ecoboost engine install in a Maverick possible? Has anyone tried it?

I am wondering if anyone has installed a larger Ecco Boost engine in a Maverick? If so, how did it work out?

The Corsair engine is the one to get it's a 2.3 but it's not cheap new. The head is the same as the maverick as well as one of the camshafts being the same. So a short block with maverick head and Corsair can swap would be the best budget for a new OEM build. The Corsair and ranger have the same piston and rods and crank parts number.

you can go to Ford parts online and look at the different parts numbers and see what all is interchangeable between models.

You could just buy the rods, crank and pistons
And build a maverick 2.0 block as well.

I’m still waiting for someone to put a focus rs engine and turbo setup in one.
It would take a bit of monkey business getting the turbo controls to work. But that would be the combo.
No need for a bigger ecoboost engine really. The 2.0 can be pushed up into very legit go numbers. We just need some bigger turbo options. Even the Corsair turbo is on the small side.

Fast Maverick is out of business and seems to have disappeared, which gives you an idea of how well that "plug and play" swap went.
We actually think that was his plan all along. Make his truck one of a kind, advertise a bunch of parts that he used that we could be the consumer of, deliver a few to establish rapport, receive thousands in orders for fictional parts, skip town.

Kinda curious what actually happened.
I do know that he was burning bridges left and right. One customer got a setup from him. Couldn’t get it tuned correctly. Blamed the tuner. The tuner said it was bad turbo parts. Eventually tuner fixed said bad parts got it tuned and sent the customer on the way.
Pointing the finger at fast mavericks to pay the customers bill for all the added time spent fixing it.
Then he became a ghost.

I had ordered a downpipe, intake, and a tuner from him last July that obviously never came. Once my bank gave me back my money and took the case, I ordered either direct or from legit distributers. Now I am just trying to figure out if I want to do a new intercooler, a turbo upgrade, or both.

2.7L Ecobost V6 out of a Fusion Sport would be perfect. I'm sure it could be done. Not easy or cheap though.

The 260 ft-lb rated 8F35 in the Maverick isn't even rated for the 277 ft-lb that the Ecoboost puts out. I doubt you'd want to go any larger of an engine.

Is there not a 3.0 Ecoboost Ranger? Could that not be an option seeing as they share the same block ?

There isn't a 3.0 4-cylinder Ecoboost. The 2.3 is the larger 4-cylinder option.
