Guess what
Ford Mexico doesn't offer the Maverick with the 2.0l ecoboost engine anymore!
The only option is the Hybrid 2.5l for the 2026MY!!!
I'm speechless
I'm glad I got the 2024 Lariat Tremor!
The EB engine is one of the few Maverick parts built in the USA. Maybe the Mexican Government wants only “made in Mexico” engines? Can’t blame them if that’s the case:)

We had a VCR in 1978.
Cost $1500

EV's will come down.
I had a 1971 Plymouth Road Runner with a V Code 440-6 that cost me around 3 grand. They're worth north of 80 grand now. What's that VCR worth now? :D

How much high tech did that Plymouth have?

I have a lump of coal from one of the Titanic's boilers recovered from the sea floor. Worth 0.01 cent in 1912.
Wanna guess what this is worth now?

I don't think you made a good comparison.

(just joking around no one take this seriously)
It's every freaking time man. It's pretty ridiculous that it always devolves like that. Like I could see the bashing and politics if we were discussing unpopular government policy or something. But the fact that it'll just be stories like "Look at this cool EV" and it still devolves into a clusterfuck is frustrating.

I don't care about the politics around some EV stuff. This is about a badass product, and EV or not, this truck is sounding pretty badass.

What truck? Oh yes, the subject of this thread. I would love to see it someday “before” I think about buying one.

Maybe the website still needs to update? Is there a local Ford dealer that would know if you could schedule an EB Maverick for delivery?
I called my local Ford dealer, Hybrid option is the only one available for the 2026MY

Thanks for the link. I notice though there are trucks and SUVs that are not available in the USA. I'm guessing Ford De Mexico eliminated the ecoboost Maverick to sell more Wolf or Lobo ICE trucks. Just a theory.
That's correct, different market different target

OTH it was easy to keep running with a little patience and understanding of the ignition circuit, probably need to fit an electric fuel pump to ease starting difficulty.

Yeah, the Kroger thing is definitely the craziest playground, chest thumping, silliness I’ve read on here for a while. I mean, really? You two are fighting about who has a better grocery store.
It’s a good time to put down the keyboard.

Back on subject, I agree that EV’s are our future but it’s taking Americans longer to get over their petroleum habits. Our current Cheeto caused gas crisis is a very good example of why we should be very wary of one dominant source of power.

Bob- I like all grocery stores- Zimmerman
