I was about to say, I had a 5x8 version and it definitely was a two-person job to safely fold or unfold. And the casters suck; it's not like you can wheel it around on the tiny casters. More like, tip and roll a foot or two to park it against a wall.I built and used a 4x8 harbor freight trailer. Unless you know the tricks they aren't easy to fold up onto the casters. In my garage I could not leave the tongue extended for leverage.
There are tricks to it but they not exactly safe.
Be Safe and Good LuckI think y’all talked me into a little trailer.
I would suggest getting ramps. My neighbor and I had to get real creative getting the mower out of the truck. The guy I purchased it from had ramps to load it. We did not!Can you lift these or need a ramp?
Was one of your parents a BIGFOOT?Can you lift these or need a ramp?
Very smart choiceI think y’all talked me into a little trailer.
I have a Kendon, and it's only good for motorcycles....I was about to say, I had a 5x8 version and it definitely was a two-person job to safely fold or unfold. I wish there was a utility version of the long-discontinued trailer-in-a-bag single rail motorcycle trailer.
The Northern Tool aluminum 4x8 is 2/3 the weight of the Harbor Freight and probably easier to handle.

I considered the Kendon standup for about two minutes before I saw the price tag. I'll just stick to renting as long as a U-Haul place is nearby and my use doesn't require immediate access to a trailer.
They've had a utility trailer version for a while.I have a Kendon, and it's only good for motorcycles....
My Troy built 12hp fits nicely into the bed of my Maverick. I just took it to Farm&Fleet for repairs.Anyone try hauling a riding lawn mower? Does it fit in bed of Maverick?
was thinking about transporting a smaller riding mower to help out my in-laws but not leave there so I can use it too. Preferably not needing a trailer.
Talking about the smaller 30” ones - Craftsman, Cub Cadet, maybe a Ryobi 80V
Good idea...I think y’all talked me into a little trailer.
Tractor Supply also rents trailers....Good idea...
If you haven't looked, Tractor Supply also sells them.
A trailer comes in very handy and riding onto a trailer ramp is a one man job, where lifting a heavy mower isn't... Your back will thank you!
I did not know that. Probably an opportunity for the OP to try out an option before buying it...Tractor Supply also rents trailers....
My Karavan 4x8 trailer is an investment I made 20+ years ago...I keep it covered with an all weather tarp when not in use.I think y’all talked me into a little trailer.
