What's going to read them?

For what purpose?

Pass your CC with RFID too fast over the reader - what happens?
My guess is that they put them in to track them during production.

Lifecycle tracking:
Monitoring tires from manufacturing, shipping, and delivery to maintenance, retreading, and recycling.

Inventory management: Streamlining warehouse and retail operations by quickly identifying tires and reducing human error.

Maintenance and service: Helping mechanics and fleet managers track tire condition, usage, and replacement schedules.

Anti-counterfeiting: Ensuring authenticity and preventing fraudulent tire sales.

Regulatory compliance: Supporting EU Digital Product Passport and eco-design regulations by providing detailed tire history and sustainability

Or they are tracking our every move.

I also heard the governments are working with private industry to develop a device that people get addicted to, therefore willingly carry with them at all times. Then they put in sensitive personal information, communicate with associates allowing the government to build complex social network diagrams. These devices also track and report location.

Louis lost me when he left NYC complaining about the business environment and moved to Texas to vote for the same nonsense that destroyed NY.

A patent doesn't equate to planned usage. Many companies patent things just to make future companies pay them if they implement it.

Market trends in general say new convertibles aren't necessary. A convertible is an indulgence for people with considerable disposable income. There are fewer people like that every day.

I did forget that the Bronco is available as a convertible. That seems to be selling well.
Ford is into building exciting vehicles now, and vowed no more boring vehicles. They are doing the niche vehicles well.

That's why it was so laughable that all of the wingnutz who were so against the covid vaccine because "the Feds will secretly track them" via it. Hello? What's that in your pocket?

Hopefully, they all died off.

So making it sound like there is some big whoop-to-do in the post I quoted with a single ominous comment, really doesn't amount to much in the scheme of things.

Ok - the tire store when they install them, ties them to your account created for purchase and install, and warranty work later.
The tire tags are now tied to you.
I guess be concerned when some vehicle at a stop light with RFID readers on it's sides gets up close and personal to your truck, so they can discover ..... oops you drove off

Are you a hammer looking for nails?

It'd be nice if they put a halfway decent microphone in the car so Siri could understand what I say.
"Halve the microphones in the car"--Is that correct?

😜

Siri hasn't been much fun since she stopped helping us hide bodies . . .

I asked the gal for the shot with microchips, as I was looking forward to a new superpower.

She just kind of looked at me funny.

Point being that I use handsfree but i text people, and siri can't understand plain English, screwing up what i say repeatedly. I mean, is it too much to ask that the words I speak are clearly heard. I suppose it could be Siri (or the software/algorithm involved) that is the problem but I think it's just a really lame, cheap microphone in my Mav. She understood better when I had my F-150.

I can't even count the number of times that she has taken my dictation directly, and then applied autodistort to change it a couple of seconds later as my thumb is going down on the send button . . .

Send button? I just state what I want to state, listen to see if Siri is reasonably close, and then say "send". Hands free all the way, but she has a tendency to really screw up what I say which is mostly likely because the quality of the microphone in the Maverick is very low.

Incidentally, if you have the windows down, it's even worse because the wind noise really messes with the microphone.

They want us to use "hands-free" but don't give us the necessary quality of tools to do it.
