I remember as a 5 year old kid my bedroom was painted that color.

I miss the days when you could buy a vehicle in a lot of different colors. Those were the days when they'd offer colors that people LOVED or HATED. Today almost every color is "safe" where few love or few hate. I like them taking a chance on good color and "controversial" colors from the past. I love the eruption green. I would definitely have chosen that color if we had one in stock. Instead I ended up with Oxford white. A "safe" color that I don't dislike. But does not excite me in any way. Thankfully the (overpriced )Black Appearance Package takes away the FLEET truck vibeI don't hate it, but IMHO they should have just kept eruption green or given us another shade of green, like olive or lime. The Maverick was already available in two different blues (velocity and azure gray)... It didn't need another one.
I've always been curious how the OEMs decide what colors to offer, because sometimes it just seems really illogical.
Doesn't fit a Maverick? Are you saying it is too MANLY of a color for the little truck?I think it's a cool color, but I do agree it just doesn't seem to fit the Maverick.
Wish I was as handy with photoshop. I’d like to see what my 25 eruption green lariat would look like if I painted the very bottom of my Mav carbonized grey or perhaps a lighter grey like cactus grey. I’d run the paint up over the wheel wells and go from front to back. Like they used to two tone the lariat F150 with the little bottom color match fake fender flairs.I had just seen an old 65 Mustang for sale in light blue and was telling my family how good that looked, so I’m glad to see them bring the color back around!
Not too skilled with photoshop so I got the gpt to remove the BAP and mock up that first photo with a chrome grille, two tone, and bronco sport heritage wheels- I think it turned out pretty well.![]()

I’m lucky to be able to draw a straight line.
That used to be Miller & Long's (huge commercial contractor) company truck color. ALL of them were that blue.Reminds me of the color that was fairly popular in the 1970s-1980s on the F-Series trucks
Back then my dad had a fleet of E-150 vans. That blue, along with banana and key lime were safety colors, and cost less to commercially insure. Not sure now, maybe pay a premium for the blinding bright colorThat used to be Miller & Long's (huge commercial contractor) company truck color. ALL of them were that blue.
While I'm completely indifferent on the color choice, Ford only offers a few color options and this seems a weird one to use. Unless Ford has a lot of leftover blue and white and is simply looking for a reason to use it up.It amazes me that people can be triggered by the mere existence of a color no one is forcing them to buy, when there are also several other colors available.

…and it looks so good! I remember the Dirty Jobs episode. I also believe @Blue_Max won’t be changing his name to @BabyBlueMax any time soon. While I'm completely indifferent on the color choice, Ford only offers a few color options and this seems a weird one to use. That said, I've always called this color "leftover paint" and my wife and daughter love it. The shade changing to match whatever leftover paint they had the year before.

I call it that because that looks very similar to the color that resulted from a Dirty Jobs episode where Mike Rowe mixed a bunch of leftover paint together.
