My Carvana offer is not at all compelling. $23,400 for a 2022 XLT ECO AWD LUX CP360 HPR in mint condition, new tires, 37,000 miles. Replacement cost is a $15,000 difference after shipping, taxes, registration, dealership paperwork. Doesn't compute.

Basically, my Maverick has depreciated almost $5,000 a year compared to new. Yea, I only paid $30,500 for it three years ago. But you have (1) adjust that for inflation, and (2) adjust it for replacement cost. Because if you sell it, what, you're going to walk to work?

I see some of these reported Carvana offers and I scratch my head. I believe that people are getting those offers, but it must a hybrid-only thing, in certain regions.

I mean, I can walk down to my local dealership and buy a great NEW Maverick off the lot for about the same as some of the reported offers I'm seeing.
Must be a Hybrid thing ,which is why I went with one. 2023 XL and 20,000 miles and Carvana offered me $23,200 last week.

In October of 24 I sold my 23 hybrid XL for $600 more than I paid, and I paid sticker. 13 months and 28,000 miles.

Waited 6 months, found the exact AWD Hybrid 4K tow XL I wanted for $2,450 off. A new 26 with the same options is $35K. I paid under $30k.
Yeah I made money on my 2023 Tremor.

As tempting as this is I likely won’t be selling.

A few weeks ago prompted by another member I checked and I was being offered $35,600 for my 2025 Lariat AWD Hybrid 4K Tow w/moonroof with 13k miles.

Well today - it has 14,250 miles on it and the Carvana offer increased to $37,200. With it being fully paid off, and I could get most of (90+%) my PremiumCare warranty back...I'm looking at roughly $1,500 for 14 months and 14,000 miles worth of driving.

It is very tempting to sell!!

New Lariats are $43K ( before the dealer discount of $694.00) and that is without the FX option. For that you have have to move up the Tremor.

It is.
Covid pricing made everything expensive and/or unavailable.

Now it's fuel cost pricing, and as always happens, when fuel cost spikes, many people want a fuel efficient vehicle, and it's impossible to find a better gas sipping truck than a Maverick hybrid at an equivalent price. On a round trip into town yesterday I got over 42 mpgs in my 4K capable AWD.

The price bump noted for used Maverick hybrids isn't across the board for all vehicles.

The low mpg market is the opposite, except for the sport car and luxury segment, because the affluent don't care about fuel prices, only fuel availability.

The last 100 days of used inventory and wholesale pricing have been wild and this started before the Iran conflict.

I won’t say covid pricing is back but definitely a wonky market currently.

Carvana is offering me $24800 for my 2024 XL hybrid with 8500 miles. I paid $25,200 for it 12/2023. I just sold my 2017 Jeep Renegade with 20K miles to them for $15,200. No one offered me anything close to that number.

I wanted eruption Green, since 2021. When it wasn't offered again for 23, I just ordered at Atlas. Then when green was announced, the blue was sold. Jumped out and in again when the deals were right.

Did you get a quote from Carmax?
There was a poster on this thread that had a higher offer from them than Carvana...
The bot assist says Carmax is higher 63% of the time.
