I've searched but can't find it. Sirius/XM Discount

My free trial was about to expire and I got an email telling me I could get 3 months for $2.
I took them up on the offer.
When that's up in May, I'll call to cancel by talking to their cancellations department and would settle for $3 per month maximum, ( but I'll tell them $2/month) or I'll just listen to FM as I've got good radio stations that I often listen to instead of Sirius.

As others have stated, they are better off keeping a cheap subscriber that costs them nothing and boosts their advertising revenue, rather than losing a subscriber, which costs them in revenue, so you have leverage.

If you don't mind negotiating on the phone, it's an easy way to save money, not just on Sirius, but on most subscription plans like Dish or Direct, etc.

I do it over chat (did it yesterday) because too often the reps' Filipino accents are too hard for me to understand.

Human. They don't trust people threatening to quit to a bot. But I ended up with $5.99 month which is what I was willing to compromise at. They tried to renew me at $29.99/month and that dog don't hunt.

Also if you don't stay on top of it, they will automatically renew you at the higher rate, you cannot get out of the automatic renewal.

Many subscriber services do that "convenience" feature for you..
It's customer service in the animal husbandry sense.
You make a point worth noting, that with an expiration date, there is almost always a discount that disappears, and it's typically buried in the 14 pages of legalize that you agree to when you sign up.

Historically I would forget about it until I see an odd charge on my credit card, I would tell them to refund me and had to renegotiate the price I wanted. That's why I am thrilled to now be locked into a lifetime price I am happy with. The so called "convenience" feature exist just to get money out of forgetful people, just like all these services that promise you x number months of free service but still require you to enter your credit card info before hand...

Does your "lifetime" price allow you to cancel after a month, or is it a year?
I'm coming up on a renewal myself.

Yeah I guess but they always refunded my money and gave me the price I wanted. As for the canceling, I never looked into it.

Someone posted maybe a week ago a discount they were sent for Sirius. They included a photo of the discount letter, if the poster or someone who remembers where that post is please let me know. I remember it was a very good deal Many thanks

I have not renewed Sirius. Just wait awhile if you can. They won't leave me alone. There down to 4 bucks a month. I'm not really interested at this moment. I'm using Pandora on the jazz setting. That's good enough for me.

Got this email today. But agree with previous posts just call and they lower the price. It cost them nothing to send it to your radio.

I beat you by 1 dollar. LOL I am shooting for 3 bucks.
