Anybody tap into LED bed light switch to power up LED bed light strips ?

From what I've found the switch just goes back to the BCM and tells it to turn on the light circuit.

As for the light circuit itself, I don't know the limit it can do. Worst case should be able to take a little power to a relay for the additional lights. Could use the 12V pigtail hidden nearby for the main power.

I have tapped into the light next to the switch, to power the LED Light in my LEER Cap. I also used that same method to power 3 LED stick on light strips I stuck under the bed rails before I had my cap installed. Worked fine, no issues.

Yes I tapped it for some led strips I mounted in the bed. Works well.

Yes, I tapped into the back of the bed lamp

I had done it the same way, but after about 6 months, it started to not work while the truck was on. It would flicker on and immediately turn off... After that I just installed a an aftermarket with the flexbed connector. Only con for that is I can only use the bed lights while the truck is on since the flexbed connector is only on with the truck for me.
