My 2025 XL came with a free trial of SiriusXM, which I have not, used and never intended to use. As the trial end (which just now passed) approached, the SiriusXM marketing BS "presented" to me on the infotainment display became ever more insistent and obnoxious. Earlier today I actually had to find a place to pull over to figure out how to get the audio source switched back to my own local stored music source. At this point, I am thoroughly disgusted with SiriusXM and with Ford for constantly shoving this cr@p in my face. I very much want to sh1tc@n the SiriusXM app. What do I need to do to remove it? If that isn't possible, how can I disable it so that is guaranteed never to start up again on its own. Thanks.

Are you leaving SiriusXM as the audio source when you turn off the sound system or shut the truck off?
When I start my truck and I left the sound system on when I shut it down, it starts to play where it left off. Maybe changing the audio source to something other than SiriusXM and turn off the truck would help.

In forscan:
727-01-01 3xxx xxxx xxxx change 3 to B
7D0-01-01 2xxx x8xx xxxx change 2 to 0, 8 to 0
7D0-03-03 xxxx xxx2 xxxx change 2 to 0
might be overkill but it will be gone.
Looks like I finally need to buy my OBD scanner :) Well, I was going to need it, sooner or later. And overkill is probably OK. I don't use AM or FM. I play all my music from a flash drive. At some point it is possible that I might want to BlueTooth something from my phone, but even that may never happen. Thanks!

Nope. I set source to inserted USB flash drive and leave it. But Ford keeps switching it back to try to get me to sign up for a paid subscription. I have a Ford survey on my satisfaction with the Maverick sitting in my email in-box. Boy do I hope they have an "other comments" section in that!

It is really simple to go online and let Sirius know you do not want it. Ford HAS NOTHING to do with Sirius trying to keep you s a customer. I personally have had Sirius since 2011 and love it. But to each his own. You also could try using the universal delete tool.

Other comments are usually the last box on all surveys.

The changes I mentioned shouldn’t break anything besides the satellite radio.

You’ll be disabling the app, and telling the truck that the chips for the satellite radio don’t exist.

Weird. My radio goes back to what it was playing last. Unfortunately, if it was last playing Apple Music and I'm not quick enough to plug my phone in, it'll kick on the FM radio. I've never had it autotune to Sirius XM or even advertise it is there. None of the Escape, Maverick, Explorer, and Expedition behaved as you described.

Oh but wait… there’s more!

The junk mail will start. Sometimes two pieces in one day! At least one a week for the next year.

I truly wish I would have saved all those pieces of junk mail they barraged me with and then sent them all back to them in one box.
It’s astonishing the amount of junk mail they send.

Sirius works great for me as I have just one reachable prerecorded same fifty bullshit pop songs channel in these mountains.
Satellite’s are easy to catch, all above me, duh.

It was $10 a month, just went up to $12.80
I like it,
Got all my old rock stuff,

Cassette era,
Classic,
Hair Nation,
Ozzy’s bone yard,
The Dead.
70,80,90 crappy pop music is fun sometimes,
I like my classical,
Country depresses me, when I need it.
Metallica, and five or six other channels I like.

I don't drive the truck that much but when you have Sirius you can also listen to it on your phone. I listen to it while walking and working around the house using cheap wireless earbuds. You have to contact them once a year and threaten to cancel so they cut the price way down.

When I worked for oil refiner who also owned service stations about every third year we would get someone who had a disputed statement that would mail a box of pennies for his $10(+/-) with a first class "postage will be paid by addressee😱 envelope" taped to box.
