I wouldn't do it. I'm sure the truck will do it, but for how long? If you have to have that size trailer, id maybe trade into a ranger.I need to pull RV trailer. Anyone know if she will stand 5k? Not many 4k trailers suitable for us.
How many people do you need to sleep? How many kids?I need to pull RV trailer. Anyone know if she will stand 5k? Not many 4k trailers suitable for us.
Maybe.....maybe not.Anyone know if she will stand 5k?
We only need to sleep 2, Just want max space for stuff. How many people do you need to sleep? How many kids?
There are full feature travel trailers starting at 2750 lbs. with queen bed and two narrow bunks. In a pinch usually the dinette can fold down into a bed for a fifth small person.
5k behind a hybrid?
It will pull that on flat lands.
But not over any substantial hills.
So 5K empty, not telling what loaded up with supplies, accessories, etc. Probably bought the wrong truck for that....I need to pull RV trailer. Anyone know if she will stand 5k? Not many 4k trailers suitable for us.
No the receiver is rated to 675 lbs of tongue weight....your Maverick is not. There is an aftermarket hitch upgrade that gets you to 675lb tongue weight and 4500lb, but you are still are the mercy of transmission durability etc https://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitch/Ford/Maverick/2025/TS22VR.html?VehicleID=20256069335
Euro Escapes with a 60mph towing speed limit were getting rated at 3500 before the HF55 transmission upgrades, so IDK if you can expect a similar boost over American figures at 60mph with the beefed up transmission. There hasn't been that long to test the ultimate durability and limitations of it. Is it pitched low to keep from eating Ranger sales, or is it really that low, the hitch seems designed to limit you if aftermarket can trot out some beefier ones. Possibly they were keeping some reserve to surprise a competitor, Toyota got a minitruck with 4500lb rating, SHAZAAM ours can do 4750.
z would not exceed the factory recommended weight limits. We only need to sleep 2, Just want max space for stuff.

Not if you want your warranty... but if you think something that bolts up close to the suspension mounts won't take 675lb on it, better stop putting more than 675lb in your bed.No the receiver is rated to 675 lbs of tongue weight....your Maverick is not.
