I need to pull RV trailer. Anyone know if she will stand 5k? Not many 4k trailers suitable for us.
I wouldn't do it. I'm sure the truck will do it, but for how long? If you have to have that size trailer, id maybe trade into a ranger.

How many people do you need to sleep? How many kids?

There are full feature travel trailers starting at 2750 lbs. with queen bed and two narrow bunks. In a pinch usually the dinette can fold down into a bed for a fifth small person.

5k behind a hybrid?

It will pull that on flat lands.
But not over any substantial hills.

There is an aftermarket hitch upgrade that gets you to 675lb tongue weight and 4500lb, but you are still are the mercy of transmission durability etc https://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitch/Ford/Maverick/2025/TS22VR.html?VehicleID=20256069335

Euro Escapes with a 60mph towing speed limit were getting rated at 3500 before the HF55 transmission upgrades, so IDK if you can expect a similar boost over American figures at 60mph with the beefed up transmission. There hasn't been that long to test the ultimate durability and limitations of it. Is it pitched low to keep from eating Ranger sales, or is it really that low, the hitch seems designed to limit you if aftermarket can trot out some beefier ones. Possibly they were keeping some reserve to surprise a competitor, Toyota got a minitruck with 4500lb rating, SHAZAAM ours can do 4750.

So 5K empty, not telling what loaded up with supplies, accessories, etc. Probably bought the wrong truck for that....

No the receiver is rated to 675 lbs of tongue weight....your Maverick is not.

z would not exceed the factory recommended weight limits.
Take a look at either the Sunlite 14THX, Coleman 13t or the Modern Buggy Hopper 2. They are all three more or less the same and are small toy haulers with two beds (1fold out tent with a bed and a Murphy bed). Plenty of space to haul all of your gears, motorcycle. etc. and has a wet bath.

I'm curious about your specific needs, because there are rather a lot of travel trailers that will work just fine within the Maverick's rated limitations.

Can you exceed them? Probably. There's usually some buffer for consumer stupidity built into these types of things. But it hardly seems like the wisest thing to plan on doing with regularity.

Not many 4k trailers suitable for us.

Not if you want your warranty... but if you think something that bolts up close to the suspension mounts won't take 675lb on it, better stop putting more than 675lb in your bed.

It sounds like a case of the tail wagging the dog.
In the proposed setup, weight wise, the Maverick is the tail and the trailer the dog.

Under ideal circumstances, in a short haul, on level ground, you could get away with it.
Get into some even slightly less than ideal situations, and you may regret it.

You would be 25% over the limit to start with, and with the bigger trailer, you have more room for "stuff".
Unless that stuff is helium balloons, stuff adds up weight so your 5K trailer with all your stuff added on could easily be over 6000 pounds once you fill up water tanks, propane and the rest of the available area you say you need.
Your drivetrain isn't going to like that, and in a breakdown your warranty could be voided.

Not only is there a weight limit you are significantly exceeding, the Maverick also has a frontal area limit on the trailer you will haul, and wind resistance should be considered.
With the 4K package, the frontal area size limit is 40 square feet.
It's ony 20 square feet for the 2K.
Out on the open road a large trailer in a cross wind could make you feel very uncomfortable.

Another consideration is that you would be piloting an illegally loaded vehicle that you could be held liable for in the event of an accident.
