Wasn't there a stop sale order for the camera recall in January of 2025?

no idea if its relevant or not but fleet sales might be a huge number of them. In my area most of the utility companies, a lot of the local city and county government departments, auto parts stores, pest control, paint stores and most any company you could think of. Every time i turn around there's another one with a company name on it - every day. 🤷‍♂️

It's likely a much smaller percentage than you think.

You’re right - January 2025 sales sucked compared to the record January 2024 sales. February 2025 was low too, but March 2025 was a new monthly record. Stop Sales had a impact for sure.

That's probably a good part of the sales. We ome of these companies were still using the original Ranger and finally have something that is a suitable replacement with a low (relatively speaking) purchase price and low operating costs. For fleets that's important. But there are quite a few personal sales too because I believe the XLT is the best selling trim level. Most fleets buy the XL trim.

And there was a temporary stop sale in June for the air bag warning light. I remember it went into effect shortly after I purchased mine in mid May

Thanks Darryl, I sorta figured it was, it would be pretty easy for me to see 10 fleet mavericks to 2 personal ones in a day in my area. I've gotten to the point that i look for the company name to see if i recall seeing it before. Many are the typical fleet white but looks like the fleets do a vinyl wrap on them now and don't care about the factory color

Ford produces on a bell curve more or less. If the majority of the fleet vehicles are XL then they simply cannot make up the significant percentage of the increased sales.

Yes there are fleet sales, but I would put them at less than 10% total for all Mavericks.

I see 25 personal Mavericks for every 1 fleet or commercial Maverick here in Central Ohio. Neither one of our personal experiences and data points are significant.

Guys, we don't want to be cheering for Maverick fleet sales. Fleet sales depress resale values, as those used vehicles hit the market. Many fleets (rentals, for example) resell their vehicles very quickly (yes, others keep them many years) because reselling is actually a profit driver - remember that fleets buy at a significant volume discount.

Also, OEMs hate fleet sales. See the bit about discounting above. Fleet sales are low margin. Although Ford does recoup some lost margin on fleet management software and services for those fleets that sign on.

PS: Around here the fleet Maverick I see all the time is the safety vehicles for oversize loads. We have a manufacturer of modular homes in the area, and our interstates always have a wide load with Mavericks fore and aft. They do, by the way, have some really cool safety light bar setups.
