Has anybody had any trouble with their interior lights? According to the manual the interior lights are supposed to come on every time when you open the door. Mine don't.
I have tried everything including making sure the 12 volt battery is charged all the way, which worked for a bit, but then quit working. Anybody have any suggestions? I may have to take it into the dealer and see if it's maybe a software problem.

More than likely the battery not holding a charge and going into deep sleep mode. Search the terms "deep sleep" "dead battery", etc. You should find alot history on it.

Simplest thing first... did you inadvertently hit the switch in the overhead console?

It's a frail 3-position rocker switch: on/door/off. If it's set to "off" the lights won't come on.

I checked the switch. That's one of the first things I did. I' ll check the sleep mode and see if that is the problem. Thanks
It seems this has been a problem with a hybrid Maverick since the hybrids first came out. The hybrids go into sleep mode, and the interior lights don't go on when you open the door. Later trucks that came with the AGM battery did a lot better, but still have the problem. As soon as you hit the start button, (Lariats) the lights go on. As long as my truck starts, I can live with the lights off.

Your truck is in sleep mode.
