I agree with you 100%, I'm going in for my 4th full synthetic oil change with only 11,400 miles on my truck because if I don't follow the recommed service, (every 12 month, or miles) it could void my warranty. Just another loophole so they don't have to pay.That is a lot of oil changes!

I had an 87 Ranger and put 744k highway miles on it with oil changes every 2500miles using Castrol dynosaur pee. Yes, changing oil much more than recommended seems to be the key.Oil change is the key
I go by the trucks statement when to change (right now its at 57% change time left. I hope that is correct thought when to change to keep warranty. Can't see why it wouldn't be. I do my changes because its $150 where in south florida.
