For those of us who are ana average 5'10" we are more than happy as long as the leg room is adequate for us. Excellent front seat legroom above and beyond that simply means that we have to slide the seat forward. 😂
It is simply wonderful to be able to stretch out my legs on long drives!

I have access to a vehicle that shares the same chassis (C2) as the girlfriend has a 2024 Escape...I find the front seating position is much more comfortable and dare I say "roomy" in my Maverick as compared to her Escape...seems like the front seats don't move back as far and seem to be less adjustable. Not overly uncomfortable mind you, just not as adjustable. The other day, the g/f offered her car for a quick store run as she had just come home and her car was already warmed up - no thanks, I'll take my Maverick....lol

Good point! Prior to my Mav, I drove an '08 Escape and the Mav's legroom was definitely noticeable.

Yes, the 2.0 has a lot of spunk in the Maverick. Even though the Hybrid powertrain performance is more than adequate, it's not thrilling. The 2,0 definitely the one to choose if you like to feel the "rush" when accelerating. The Hybrid gets the job done well. The Ecoboost makes you smile while doing it. But the hybrid gives me my smiles at the pump. Both a furnace and a fireplace will heat your house. And the furnace is usually more efficient. But when a person plans a romantic dinner, no one says "we'll have a romantic dinner sitting in front of the furnace. " 😂😂. You drive the fireplace. Us Hybrid owners drive the furnace
Eloquently stated and accurately on point.

My 2004 Escape’ is adequate for my 5’11” 155 pound chassis. But In My escape my size eleven stompers need a bit more room.
To me it’s my Mavericks overall seat position that I like so well.
I still kick and scratch my lower door panel getting in and out when I got boots on.
No biggie, it’s a year old in a few weeks.
It’s now officially a used truck.
But I’ve gone the longest ever without a parking lot door ding.
I’m still not ready to park in the crowd, still parking way out and walking into Wallyworld.
Prolly always will.

I corrected your post...
There are a lot of us, which includes most (all?) on this forum that don't want or need a full size pickup. I've been looking for a Maverick sized option since my wife totaled my Subaru Baja.

Especially for a truck, the Maverick is a very comfortable machine to drive in, looks good, and doesn't drink gas like it flows out of the ground for free.
I wanted a Subaru Baja for the longest time. I was always scared off by the reports of massive head gasket failures.

But you're so right, there is nothing else available like the Maverick. I wanted a small truck for so long that I can barely remember. I remember first reading rumors that Ford was working on a small truck as far back as 2016. I kept waiting and waiting until it finally arrived and it's everything I hoped it would be.

My Maverick has has had a water leak that no one can seem to find and my wife and kids keep telling me to trade it in for something else. I don't want a truck or any vehicle that gets 18-20 mpg, I'm getting 40-50 mpg in the Maverick depending on the weather and driving conditions. I got mine early before all of the price increases and the value of this little trucklet is unbeatable.

I have been content with a "Small" truck since, June of 1986...
The Maverick is in fact, larger than ALL three of my Rangers...
To the point... that...

This is how I "feel", every time I pull out of my garage.. 😧
And into the Alley...
:ROFLMAO:

Got my 2026 Maverick XLT Hybrid FWD on 12/5/25 I see why it is the truck of the year. I have a 2013 F150 4x4 and love that truck but the drive of the Maverick is just fun!
I've added a tonneau cover, Mabett console organizer, Mabett mud flaps, glovebox organizer and looking for more.
I'm 6'4" and the seats are great (but no one is going to set behind me) good head room and I enjoy driving it. First fill up I was getting 37 mpg mostly highway as I live in a rural area.
It has a lot of cool features that this 71 year old is still finding and figuring out.

and if one were to compare the number of Recalls to the Maverick vs the Number of Recalls to the Santa Cruz, I think they would find a great disparity, in the Santa Cruz's Favor.......
True about the recalls. However, my prediction is that in 10 years or more we're going to see a higher percentage of old Mavericks that are surviving and still being fairly trouble free than Hyundais even if taking into account the original sales numbers.
