Has anyone filled this area? When I open my door I can smell an oil smell, no leaks anywhere.
It's not awful just annoying. Completely stock. I even took off the UPR catch can, it seems to be better but can still smell.

Yes many posts on this since 2021 first year lariats have baffles in the area, but I don’t think most people say they notice much of difference with sound or smell.

John,
Without a picture it's hard to tell.
Is this the **area you are referring to?👇

I would love to see a solution for this. This is one of the few things that I see is making this truck look extremely inexpensive and cheap. Don’t get me wrong. I love this truck, but when I open the door and I see that opening doesn’t happy vibe, ya know ?

Agree- The OEM foam shield barely stays in place and only covers up like 50 percent of the cavity at best -

The solution has a Ford part number, found in the link in post #4.

Add to that so many seem to have had it installed improperly - causing that flop over.

Obviously not everyone got it - but I did pull my driver side one up better to where it was squeezed by the hinge better - hasn't moved since.
Passenger side didn't seem to have a problem - can't get hand back there to pull it higher - which I'd like better than sitting at bottom of opening.
I think that would improve noise block better.
Then again noticed with rain this morning - enough noise coming from door seals making it sound like a window was down - I don't think that foam block is the worst of the noise.

If you decide to go with the OEM Fender insulating pads versus pool noodles. No need to go searching through threads and posts. I got you covered.
Fender Insulator Right - Part # NZ6Z16071A. MSRP: $46.93
Fender Insulator Left - Part # NZ6Z16072A. MSRP: $46.93

🙂 Price drop update 👇👇
I just checked Ford Parts and both of these items are now listed for under $35.00.
I agree with "tciotti2003" 👇

And my ole skool experience tells me if you're smelling oil you may have a bigger issue than your post...

Yeah a lot of noise seems to come in through the windows, not sure there is anything we can do about it either.

Last night, I was watching a video about laminated side windows for vehicles. My old F350 had laminated side windows.
