Reacquired Vehicle/Buyback/Lemon price? What should the price be?

Thank you for your reply. No, it's listed as new and a former loaner vehicle and also has an incentive for Reacquired Vehicles from the dealer, which I am sure is a lemon buyback.
Where-ever you got lemon out of this... have no idea???

*Loaner vehicle for the dealership is common!

They often come ceritfied and with special great financing!

I would look at build date to get a late in the 2025 year product built with the new cv axle improvement parts.

IMO, a honest dealer would provide you with a Carfax report.
In one post you mentioned it was a dealers Loaner vehicle and a Lemon Buyback? There’s a big difference. That should be positively determined before moving forward in my mind

Doesn't appear to be a lemon if there was only one service record before it was traded in unless the dealer had it that long and couldn't fix it.

The dealership listed the incentive below for the vehicle:
Ford Maverick Reacquired Vehicle/Buyback/Lemon price? What should the price be? Screenshot 2025-11-13 at 9.50.35 PM

I googled: "Ford Reacquired Vehicle Meaning" and came to https://www.farmcountryford.com/manufacturer-buyback.htm which stated:

So I concluded that it likely meant it was a lemon law buyback. They later said it wasn't, but it's moot as it's no longer available.

I wonder, if it's a loaner vehicle, if they'd been doing the oil changes but didn't put it in the system?

From the dealer listing it is a new vehicle. He lists every possible discount which includes $1500 for a "reacquired vehicle discount". Dealer does not explain what that is or how a buyer qualifies. Looks like it is just listed to make the online price look good. A "come on"!

EDIT: I did not see mileage listed?? Maybe I overlooked it. Did you use carfax and run the VIN?

Because you can just easily purchase a new 2024, 2025, and soon a 2026. Why bother with one that has had an issue to the point it was repurchased by the dealer?

Why would you sign up for that?
Virginia had high transaction costs and yearly property taxes. If you can get 3-6k (or more) off MSRP on a late model, it can move the needle for lower budget buyers.

C'mon now, you the answer is always money, same as with an XL vs the Lariat. It's a luxury to buy a new car, let alone one every 2-3 years.

But again - there are new 2024s on lots that weren’t buyback/used and have the full factory warranty remaining.

It’s not mathing.

I believe it was on the CarGurus listing.

Read it again then. Leo wants a 2025 AWD Hybrid, not a '24. He also doesn't want to pay a lot for this muffler. I think it's a worthy search. Something with 10-15k mi. on it and 5k or more off MSRP. Perhaps Email or fax 5 dealerships with this criteria.

Thank you, bud. I'm getting to the opinion that it might just be better to wait until this time next year to even consider buying and then to look at the market. The rates will almost certainly be lower and there may be used 2025 AWD Hybrids that suit me at that time.
