doubt it. the transmission overhaul part numbers are the same for all years, including the Lobo. unless they know the root cause of failures above 300HP+ and updated that, but doubt that as well. Most likely it all in the tuning and when the % of power is released
Are there actually a lot of examples of the trucks blowing out transmissions? If so, are they with the towing package?

Yeah it's an article. We actually went to the show , saw it felt it touched it. Talked about it with ford. Question Ford, why is there not a torque converter to take advantage of the extra horsepower off the line. The extra power is only available on a roll. The turbo has to spool. They just kind of shrugged.
I understand you went to the show. I simply provided the article because you stated you didn't know about Road and Track.

I think this excitement will die down when we learn the cost.

there's another member in here that blew his after about 30k tuned miles, but I'm sure there are more that aren't on here.

8F35, transmission in 2.0, are only rated for 258 lbs of torque. Ford has the torque limited at certain times to prevent damage, since our trucks have 277lbs of torque.

That is for the full 9 course “meal”.

They also have a “ala carte” menu where you can pick & choose. I’ll have the Big Turbo with a side of Intercooler please.
Who did you talk to at sema to get that information. Because I talked to jeff , which was their representative from ford motor company. That was yesterday.

MPC has 280 lb ft @ 3000 RPM and 250 HP @ 5000RPM (2025)

If anybody attended the Ford Custom Garage Maverick 300T reveal session at SEMA Friday morning, was there anything new to report that was not already discussed here in MTC or Ford Authority?

Tim Bartz the Ford Man told me on YouTube from the 300T Display at SEMA. He said Lobo owners could order the turbo & intercooler separately since they already have the suspension & brake upgrades.

The Maverick 300T was showing stuff that is already on the Ford site ready to order a piece at a time. Except the intercooler.

What is different now is Ford will install that 2.3l Mustang Turbo on a Maverick with a 3/36 warranty:)

Do you know if the mustang turbo is a direct bolt on, or will need different oil/coolant lines?
