I was concerned about the lack of vent seats with the pleather, but the factory AC works exceptionally well and counters that issue for me at least.

Did you get 2 or just 1? I was thinking about both myself and my girlfriend who wears short 90% of the time in the summer.
Initially, I got just one for the driver's seat, but then I too fell victim to the wife's complaining about burning her legs. Fair enough, but when I told her I'd be happy to get a second one, she said, "No, it's fine." We all know what that means . . . the opposite. I let her burn her legs for a few weeks and then bought a matching second one. She now complains the netting is a bit "scratchy" on her legs. It feels fine to me. Maybe get one and do a scratchy check?

They do a great job of keeping my backside from sweating. The Lariat has the faux leather upholstery which is much less porous than the cloth seats in the XL/XLT. Three speeds, easy to put on and easy to remove when the weather cools down. Ran the USB cable from the rear USB ports, so less cord entanglements around the front console.
Fan is quiet so that you won't hear it while driving, but you will hear it once you turn off the truck. That will allow you to notice it's still on and you can turn it off. Otherwise it will continue to operate for whatever time the Maverick continues to power the USB ports. I think it's 15 minutes.

Freaking awesome, gonna order mine right now.

Didn't knew about this, thanks a lot for bringing tjis up , and for the info.

1. Those XLs look gnarly without the black wrap on the "B" pillar. I know some people like that look, but talk about cost-cutting! :D

2. I couldn't care less about the ACC, but if Ford could start with adding a one-touch "UP" function to the driver's window that'd be real peachy.
Yes they look ugly, especially with the black window trim running along the entire lower portion and not just the window.

Nah, they're too greedy. When even a base nissan sentra has it, you know they're just doing it for profit maxing.
This doesn't make any sense. They offer adaptive cruise on the Escape as an option...for extra money. The question is why doesn't Ford do the same for the Maverick? That is, why doesn't Ford offer adaptive cruise on the Maverick as part of a package at an additional cost like it does for the Escape?

That has nothing to do with greed because Ford actually MAKES money on packages.

it was explained.
by including ACC only in the lariat (and Lobo 702, and Tremor), Ford most definitely is capturing sales that could have been met a buyer's needs for ACC with an XLT or XL with a technology pack. instead, if you want/need ACC you are in a Lariat or higher.
Ford makes far more money by forcing you get a Lariat. And people are doing it, myself included.

Yeah I caved and got the Lariat, assisted by the Employee pricing kicking in in Canada, which wasn't a given since often the same promotions don't happen, but it came in for Aug and Sept. Anyway, but for that I might still be humming and harring about whether to wait and see what happened in 2026 or 2026.5 or risking getting an XLT and hoping the upfit got figured out.

Anyway, weekend was first time on a long enough drive to play with it... I love it. Apart from having to give it a nudge when lanes diverge it's very close to self driving. Had it in normal drive mode so it had a tendency to be a little brisk, but I hear it chills out if you have it in eco.

One thing to beware of is, if you are in a center lane, that you see is starting to brake and then something comes careening across your gap from the fast lane, to next lane or to exit maybe, then ACC registers that speed and accelerates again. So if you had a particularly hard stop just occurring and a real madman squeaking through the gap at high speed, you might get enough acceleration for the ACC to punt you into the back of the stopping traffic before it realises. I didn't actually have that problem, but it felt like it might have only been 5 or 10mph on each end away from that problem.

Most would probably agree with you. There are some folks who live in higher humidity climates and frankly, sweat a lot. For myself, I'm not admitting to either. LOL. These covers help eliminate that 'dank' feeling one can get.

Pleather seems "not as bad as I thought it would be" here, had some hot, high humidity days.

Who is forcing anyone to do anything? Nearly 75% of sales are XLT trim or lower; who is getting forced?

The question asked in the video is since Ford offers Escape or Bronco Sport buyers adaptive cruise why can't it do the same for Maverick owners? It doesn't have anything to do with money if Ford gets paid for the equipment. And giving customers options usually results in MORE sales. This just sounds like corporation bashing to me.

Ford decided to produce an affordable small truck, and if you go by sales it succeeded spectacularly. Anything you add to a vehicle makes it more expensive, and one of the biggest selling points of the Maverick is affordability. I get that everyone would like more for their money, but no one is giving anything away for free. Personally, I prefer more choices, so I'm curious why Ford hasn't made adaptive cruise available as an option on nearly 75% of the Mavericks it sells, especially since it can be considered a safety enhancement feature.

One touch up and down should be standard on all Mavericks. More of a safety feature than not. How expensive could that be to put it on everything instead of just select vehicles? My 2020 Honda civic had adaptive cruise control and lane, correct and braking.
I wanted Blindspot monitoring on my 2025 XLT so I upgraded the copilot 360. Supposedly you then lose the adaptive cruise. That does not make any sense. I don’t think I’ll be buying a Ford again. At my age I need all the safety features. I’ll go back to Toyota’s and Hondas. I have a 2020 Ford transit connect that I bought New and have 105,000 miles on it. It has no safety features but I still like it. I’ll get rid of the Maverick before I get rid of the Ford transit connect.

a buyer is only 'forced' to do it if you want ACC badly enough to consider it a requirement.

no one is forced to buy a maverick over a ranger (xlt + tech pack $39,460), escape (active + tech pack $28,890) or some non-Ford vehicle that has it for less than a Maverick Lariat starting at $40,830.

it is not a safety feature. this was previously discussed as well, it's a luxury convenience.

I would agree that ACC, auto up/down windows etc mentioned in this thread are not “safety” features. I do think features like those should be available in some kind of extra cost package seeing how the escape and bronco sport do. Have them included free as some mentions, I not a fan of that, ford would just rise the prices of the trucks which is eroding the cost effective truck it was originally intended to be, regardless of what some other manufacturers include in their vehicles. Just my 2 cents
