I was concerned about the lack of vent seats with the pleather, but the factory AC works exceptionally well and counters that issue for me at least.

Initially, I got just one for the driver's seat, but then I too fell victim to the wife's complaining about burning her legs. Fair enough, but when I told her I'd be happy to get a second one, she said, "No, it's fine." We all know what that means . . . the opposite. I let her burn her legs for a few weeks and then bought a matching second one. She now complains the netting is a bit "scratchy" on her legs.Did you get 2 or just 1? I was thinking about both myself and my girlfriend who wears short 90% of the time in the summer.
They do a great job of keeping my backside from sweating. The Lariat has the faux leather upholstery which is much less porous than the cloth seats in the XL/XLT. Three speeds, easy to put on and easy to remove when the weather cools down. Ran the USB cable from the rear USB ports, so less cord entanglements around the front console.
Fan is quiet so that you won't hear it while driving, but you will hear it once you turn off the truck. That will allow you to notice it's still on and you can turn it off. Otherwise it will continue to operate for whatever time the Maverick continues to power the USB ports. I think it's 15 minutes.
Yes they look ugly, especially with the black window trim running along the entire lower portion and not just the window.1. Those XLs look gnarly without the black wrap on the "B" pillar. I know some people like that look, but talk about cost-cutting!
2. I couldn't care less about the ACC, but if Ford could start with adding a one-touch "UP" function to the driver's window that'd be real peachy.
This doesn't make any sense. They offer adaptive cruise on the Escape as an option...for extra money. The question is why doesn't Ford do the same for the Maverick? That is, why doesn't Ford offer adaptive cruise on the Maverick as part of a package at an additional cost like it does for the Escape?Nah, they're too greedy. When even a base nissan sentra has it, you know they're just doing it for profit maxing.

That has nothing to do with greed because Ford actually MAKES money on packages.
Ford makes far more money by forcing you get a Lariat. And people are doing it, myself included.by including ACC only in the lariat (and Lobo 702, and Tremor), Ford most definitely is capturing sales that could have been met a buyer's needs for ACC with an XLT or XL with a technology pack. instead, if you want/need ACC you are in a Lariat or higher.
Most would probably agree with you. There are some folks who live in higher humidity climates and frankly, sweat a lot. For myself, I'm not admitting to either. LOL. These covers help eliminate that 'dank' feeling one can get.I was concerned about the lack of vent seats with the pleather, but the factory AC works exceptionally well and counters that issue for me at least.
Who is forcing anyone to do anything? Nearly 75% of sales are XLT trim or lower; who is getting forced?Ford makes far more money by forcing you get a Lariat. And people are doing it, myself included.
One touch up and down should be standard on all Mavericks. More of a safety feature than not. How expensive could that be to put it on everything instead of just select vehicles? My 2020 Honda civic had adaptive cruise control and lane, correct and braking.1. Those XLs look gnarly without the black wrap on the "B" pillar. a buyer is only 'forced' to do it if you want ACC badly enough to consider it a requirement.Who is forcing anyone to do anything? Nearly 75% of sales are XLT trim or lower; who is getting forced?
I would agree that ACC, auto up/down windows etc mentioned in this thread are not “safety” features. I do think features like those should be available in some kind of extra cost package seeing how the escape and bronco sport do. Have them included free as some mentions, I not a fan of that, ford would just rise the prices of the trucks which is eroding the cost effective truck it was originally intended to be, regardless of what some other manufacturers include in their vehicles. Just my 2 centsa buyer is only 'forced' to do it if you want ACC badly enough to consider it a requirement.
no one is forced to buy a maverick over a ranger (xlt + tech pack $39,460), escape (active + tech pack $28,890) or some non-Ford vehicle that has it for less than a Maverick Lariat starting at $40,830.
it is not a safety feature. this was previously discussed as well, it's a luxury convenience.
