There is a thread on here somewhere about how to add it. Not easy.

Except now imagine it's more of a rolling slowdown like a construction zone and traffic all around you. You don't need to fiddle around modulating your speed, the ACC does it for you.
In reality I do it for myself.

I must be the only one who has it in their current vehicle and hates it!
There is another earlier thread about this. Most people hate it. I don't know why this thread is not moved to the earlier thread.

Please do point to the source where you got "most" people hate ACC. I'd say those who hate it don't even understand it, and most who have it do enjoy it. I have zero use for non-adaptive cruise. ACC is a must.

I don't think Lariat Lux with 360 gets you Adaptive. I think you need to spend another $700 to get 360 Assist.
wow, that post you responded to is more than 1 year old and answered in the thread right after I asked it

A quick search here, tells me I'm not the only one who would really like to have this feature without spending a ton extra on the Lariat trim level... and I think the 360 package as well.....
So I was talking with my friend / mechanic about this, and he said that if the Maverick was ready for adaptive cruise control, it should actually be very easy to add it after the fact (as in, a simple software update). So what would make it "ready" ? Does the 360 package give one the sensors which are needed for adaptive cruise control ?

Just the fact that its possible to have adaptive cruise control on a Maverick, should make it a lot easier to end up with it, but without spending a TON more for the Lariat trim... Anyone have any ideas ? Oh, I have seen here that the XLT is available with adaptive cruise control in Canada.

PS, I believe that adaptive cruise control is one of those things which is like a flat screen TV..... which is to say, a person could go their whole lives without it, and never know what they were missing. But once you have had it (and I do, in my 2019 Prius LE) it just becomes a must.
I spent the extra money (approx $760) I think to get the upgraded CoPilot 360 in my 2025 XLT. At my age blind spot monitoring is almost a must. One would assume that when you upgrade everything, you should get the adaptive cruise control. But Ford boned everyone and you still don’t get it. The vehicle is already set up for it. It has cameras for breaking and lane centering and Blindspot monitoring. The adaptive cruise should be able to be programmed into the vehicle. Probably the last Ford I will buy after this experience. Back to Toyota‘s and Hondas.

If I've commented on this thread before, apologies for likely repeating myself.

ACC is a game changer, but like anything else, must now how to use it.

Stop and go in urban traffic. It just works. The line cutters foul this up some, but just know how to adapt. Once stopped a tap on the torque request pedal (gas, accelerator) will get moving again.

Highway driving. Much more relaxing. Just know when to engage and disengage to adjust your lane position. Easy peasy.

When I was commuting, the stop and go improved life.
