I have it in my Lariat and while it works fine, I wish the system would stop telling me to put my hands on the wheel (which is where they are ALWAYS) when the real issue is that a long straight piece of road (damn modern highway engineering) is so common. Having to wiggle the steering wheel just because the truck thinks my hands are off the wheel is irritating.
I had to upgrade to a Lariat to get rear parking sensors. Why couldn't I get them on the fully equipped XLT I started with?
Works great, last long time:

But can you haul a yard of loose mulch in it?
Well the back seats do go down, and the trunk opens wide!

Hauling yes - getting it back out easily or completely .... heh.
Make sure it's cedar mulch, so the remains double as car air freshener.

Oh man let’s not make this a 50k truck. I love that I paid just over 30k
The only actual part is a $400 retail RADAR module, $50 wiring harness, and a $50 switch. Guessing it costs Ford about $150 to add ACC and lane centering at their costs (maximum).

Ford needs to give the Maverick EB the manual shifting automatic transmission buttons or paddles (Selectshift) like every other Ford model with an ICE. Not just the Lobo - but XL/XLT/Lariat/Tremor.

Like every other manufacturer with an ICE. Been around for 20 years with Ford even.

Thank you Ford. And Tim for asking.
That would be nice as sometimes the 8 speed shifts kind of wonky[ hesitates] out of 1st and 2nd gears especially when cold. Like its not sure if it wants to stay in the lower gears or up shift . The paddles would solve that problem for Me.

Seriously!!

co-pilot 360 needs to be standard. It’s 2025!

co-pilot 360 technology + co-pilot 360 assist are the same. Website uses one name window sticker another.

co-pilot 360 + co-pilot 360 1.0 are the same. But again show differently depending on where you see it.

wth? Blis needs to be at least part of the basic. Like every new car has blind spot monitoring but not this one.
I loved the Bliss on My BS BB and it's the only thing I miss on My Maverick.

I really wanted adaptive cruise on my 25 XLT with 4k tow but couldn’t justify the $4k+ added expense when a) I like the XLT wheels better b) also like the cloth seats c) live in the South and would rarely use any kind of heated components. I had that on my old Tundra and it was just annoying when I accidentally started it. d) think the overhead 360 camera and dual climate controls is a little gimmicky on such a small truck. e) the pro trailer backup tow assist is also a little gimmicky on the Maverick. It might be worth it if you towed on a weekly basis but if you did that your probably would have bought a mid sized truck. I’m pretty happy with just a backup camera and it is great for lining up a hitch as is.

All that being said, I would like to add ACC after the fact sometime down the line.

Couldn't agree more. In an era where base model Toyotas, Nissans, Kias, Hyundais, you name it, have adaptive cruise control as standard, it's about time for Ford to get on board and make it standard as well. They need to stop being negligent and just do it. They've jacked up the price well enough for these features to be standard equipment! And it's not gonna get any cheaper so if they're going to do it, standardize these features, at least. Like someone else said, it's 2025! Virtually every car has some form of ACC and BLIS. But, they won't because it's all about cost-cutting for higher profit margins.

Maybe I'm the odd man out but I've got ACC on my Corolla Cross hybrid and I'm not a fan. When I come up on someone going slower than me I prefer to release CC manually and just be more engaged driving until I can get around them if/when possible. I can see the advantage of ACC when in a big crowd of varying speed but instead of being relaxed, for some reason I find it kind of annoying, not sure why.

I couldn't agree more, on 2022 I got the xlt luxury pkg thinking the acc and push button start were part of it,at least they finally put the inteligent key as part of the xlt, my daughter 2013 prius has it, it make no sense in 2025 fetching on my pockets for the maverick, keys should be standard for the XL as well.

for 2025 they finaly offered now the rear sliding windows as option , they should offer the acc as option as well.

I'm not asking for free stuff, give me the option to add it without switching to another trim full of stuff that I careless about it.

Great thread, and good video as well.

1000% agree. Aftermarket parking sensors are cheap. And same goes for blind spot monitors. Ford can def do this but the lariat sales will take a little hit.

You see how inconsistent and confusing this naming structure is? Not all 360 is the same and having different terminology on different outlets really mess things up for the buyer.

I’m happy with my truck and got what was available on the lot. I really didn’t want to wait.

Yes, I agree. In my case, I'm glad I paid $28K.

How is that different than Bronco Sport. It's made at the same plant and get it includes ACC.
I mean, the Bronco sport has a base price of nearly $34,000 where as the Maverick has a base price of roughly $30,000.

The Bronco sport with standard ACC comes with an anemic 1.5L 3 cylinder ecoboost.

These are not the same.
