I was inflating the driver side rear tire and noticed this green plastic part. It is loose and it hangs free, but I cannot pull it off.

This is kind of funny in that I was going to post the same question yesterday but searched for "green tab" and found the answer in another post from a while back.
I had to laugh at the self destruct comment.

If you pull it and it comes off run like hell.🌋

Just for fun. I took your picture isolated what you were questioning about the green pull tab and ran your picture through Google image search .....

I love that ‘Search’ part of MTC, saves time and helps a lot. Took me a while to finger out how it works but, alls good!

Don't pull that! It is the self destruct cable. 5 seconds after pulling the Maverick blows up. Yes it is the gas door emergency cable. The hybrid has an electric latch gas door, EB is manual release door.
No, no, no. The self destruct is the Red cable on the driver side. That is the Eject button for the passenger that is complaining you are taking to long to change the tire. 😁
