Anyone able to give me some feedback on the backseat comfort for adults for moderate length drive (say up to 2-3 hours). I am fairly tall and need to push the driver seat back a good bit (if not all the way). Can adults reasonably sit in the backseat for that 2-3 hour time period?

There is not enough room for adults in the back if you need to push the seat back. There is plenty of head room, plenty of leg room if the front seats are mid-way. It's comfortable like a compact car is comfortable, it's not a Cadillac Deville back there.

If you have your seat all the way back, NO WAY an adult passenger is going to be comfortable. IMO if the front seats are say "middle of the way back" for say an avg 5'9"-5'10" an average size teen/adult might be comfortable for 2-3 hours. Just my 2 cents.

I totally agree. If the OP is looking for adult comfort in a back seat, the mid/small size truck market is NOT the vehicle to be considering, look for some kind of SUV or full size truck.

Ford Maverick Backseat comfort for adults Laser-K6

Backseat passengers are more comfortable in my Maverick than they were in my old Plymouth Laser. Hope this helps.

Whew, might as well not have one  that's like infant car seats only space. Agree the maverick has more than that - but not with seat all the way back

I have long legs and usually have my seat almost all the way back in most cars, so I was expecting it to be really tight behind me.

But in the Maverick the driving position is more upright (kind of like a chair vs a couch?) and I find that I'm comfortable with the seat a little past half way back and as a result there's adequate room in the back behind me for most people.

We've had 3 adults in the back... They looked uncomfortable..

We've had 2 adults (mother-in-law & wife, both under 5'6") in the back seat for an 8 hour drive and they were quite comfortable.. Fold down center armrest of the Lariat is nice. At 5'8", I was the driver so my seat does not go very far back... My father-in-law is likewise vertically challenged, so his seat does go back far either.

Being demonstrated is a 25 hybrid w/ 35.9" of legroom. Dimension provided by Ford
The driver is lean and 6'
The passenger is 6'2" and hefty
Go to 1:58 of this 👇video👇 and you'll have a good demonstration of the room in the backseat of the Maverick.

This video may help you visualize a little better, than just reading about it.

☝Also, the angle of the drivers seat back, has more impact on knee room in the backseat, than how far the seat is moved back.
I hope this provided the information you were looking for.
Good Luck,

GB

I am 6'1" 175lbs. I can sit behind myself comfortably without issue.

My Dad is 6'1" 190lbs and pushes his drivers seat so far back he might as well just sit in the backseat. It's uncomfortable to sit behind him in his 2024 Tahoe.

So if you're like my Dad, nobody will be comfortable sitting behind you in a Maverick.

The answer is if it's all you got, then you make do. Otherwise, I would not. My back seat is for my kids on quick trips around town. Longer trips in excess of an hour, we take the land yacht

I have owned my Maverick now 8 months. 5200 miles. I have taken 1 trip with 1 backseat passenger directly behind me as the driver. 215 miles 1 way, 3 hours 20 minutes, to a wedding. My wife was the passenger and she had no complaints. If she had complaints I sure as hell would have heard about it. In fact she complimented the comfort. Unless you think you will have backseat adult passengers on a very regular basis, I think this is really a none issue. My back seats are up 99% of the time.✌

I’m 5’11” and 155 pounds. This makes me limber enough I can sit comfortably behind a taller driver. I’d did this for one hour in a friends Mav. I was fine, but again I’m very limber and slim.

......the Hybrid has an inch less rear leg room than the Ecoboost. Keep in mind that rear leg room in a Maverick is still quite a bit more than a Ranger, Tacoma, or Colorado.
