Hi, newbie here...
While I'm having a ball driving it around, I bought my Maverick as a work truck; I don't need anything bigger.
Part of my need is a full camper shell to protect bulky equipment from weather. I was shocked, though, to see how rare they are. I suppose part of it is that the Mav is so new, but the only source I could find is Leer, who builds them to order for both Ford and H&H. They both have wait times of weeks and cost in the multiple thousands.
Is anyone else in the same boat??

Unless you have an incredibly common, high-volume vehicle common to fleets (Ford F-150, Super Duty, GM 1500), you'd be hard-pressed to find anything in stock.

Snugtop, Leer, and ARE all make toppers for the Maverick, but I imagine they are made to order. I'm personally a fan of the ARE DCU.

This may help you too. This is Flated air topper for my 2024 Maverick. I use it for camping and works great. It weighs 35 pounds and I’m a 65 year old woman and put it on myself. It handles freeway speeds perfectly at 75-80 mph. They send an air pump with it. Pops up in no time.

I recently discovered that Ranch Fibreglass do caps for Maverick, 2 of their models, no idea about pricing. They seem to be special order with most of their dealers who are typically small independants. If there is a large dealer in your area, it's possible they might have got one or two in "on spec".

Fit chart shows models https://ranchfiberglass.com/ranch_fitchart/

ETA: There are also some plans available for an "import truck" camper shell from Glen-L, but dimensions probably need massaging... https://www.glen-l.com/Outback-Longbed-Plans-Patterns/productinfo/50-255/

I order a Leer topper 180 from a Leer dealer in my neck of the woods.

I ordered a Leer 180 for my 2025 Maverick from a local Leer dealer in my neck of the woods. The up charges were for the Azure gray paint match and for an interior light. This was purchased when Leer had a $200 discount program about 3 weeks ago. The out the door price was $3000.

Let me know if you have any questions. Hope this helps. Mike

Why didn't you just buy an SUV. If you put on a shell it limits the size of items that you can fit and looks more like a car. I get it to each his own though.

I am in the lawn care business, and need a pickup truck for carrying materials and equipment separately from the passenger cabin. My Maverick is the perfect size. I made do with an Escape for several years, but it was far less than ideal for me.

I have a F150 with a shell, also. At nearly 80 years old I don't need the F150 anymore. I feel more comfortable with the safety features on the 2025 Maverick. If I want to have a larger load, I have a trailer to tow behind the Mav. Mike

And half the gas (at least) doesn't hurt, either. ;) If you have an EcoBoost, you are still way ahead of 150.
