My maverick hybrid is doing .06 cents a mile.
I noticed that there are some eb’s doing more like 0.145 cents a mile.
That a huge difference!
Almost 1500 savings over every 16 thousand miles. That adds up fast and so do the miles if you drive your vehicle a lot of miles.
incredible.
That’s a lot saved over 64k miles.
I do love turbos so absolutely ZERO discredit to the EB.
it’s just amazing how much savings it is.
I love my truck

The hybrids are very impressive, especially in the truck space. I've been eyeing the new AWD Hybrid, just need to make more space in the garage!

I think the Low Profile tonneau cover definitely helps as well.
Makes its more aerodynamic

The hybrids are heavily affected by cold and also going uphill / hilly elevations / going above 55mph (highway driving)

For those of us who mainly drive under 55, can't beat the Hybrid efficiency, especially in temperate weather. My current tank is showing 55.2 mpg after 370 miles, with a distance to empty of 345, or something like that.

Yes, cold weather does reduce the mileage, however I learned last winter that on colder mornings, remote start the truck maybe 5 minutes before leaving, and the mileage hit is a LOT less than starting it cold and driving. - Most of the drop takes place during the first mile or so, and bonus, the seats & steering wheel are warm when you hop in, having them set to turn on in cold weather via a remote start. (My drive to work is 6-7 miles, and many times I don't bother with the heater, just using the seats/steering wheel, keeping the heat in the engine. On longer drives I'll turn the hvac system on).

Hills are an advantage for Hybrids.

Gas only cars use less gas going downhill.

Hybrids use zero gas (usually) going downhill.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the 25’s possibly do not get as good of mpg

I believe the main advantage of the hybrid is in in town driving. At sustained speeds of 70 mph there should be less difference. My EB AWD 4K tow averages around 35mpg at 70mph but I have seen it as high as 40. All with A/C on.

Well on my awd EB when the fuel gage gets low i simply fill up and don't worry about MPG, life is too short worry about cost of driving.

I went turbo, In order to save any money I would have to drive more than 15000 miles per year, keep the car for more than 4 years, Then there is the faster depreciation of the hybrid plus the fact that as they get older you will need to take it to the dealer.
No a fan of CVs. Now if we where talking about a Toyota hybrid it would be different, have two of those.
