Just my opinion but i think 10,000 miles between oil changes is a little long.but thats just my opinion.
It is the hybrid, the engine might not be used as much depending on driving situation.

Ya I changed mine at 6500 Miles first time. it was like 4500 engine miles on my Hybrid. I can see going longer also.

With 10,000 miles on a hybrid, the gas engine's probably run 6,500 miles or less and the typical hybrid driver isn't running the truck really hard. So, this isn't a big deal especially with full synthetic in the engine now.

PS: those wheels look really good on the truck
The gas engine is stopped and started repeatedly in a hybrid and provides instantaneous power. A traditional engine runs steadily at a low RPM. The hybrid engine thus gets more of an off/on workout. I agree with the others who go with a 5,000 interval. You do what you want and we'll do what we feel is prudent. Decided am not going to call anyone who feels otherwise any names but expect the same in return.

Complaining about anecdotal evidence, while providing only anecdotal evidence yourself (a sample of one) is kind of ironic.
Hmmm, let me ponder your statement..........yep, agree with you completely.

I have been changing my oil at around 10,000 miles (or 10% life) on each of my 3 previous Ford vehicles, 2 of which were this same 2.0 Ecoboost and will continue to do this with my Mav. Did change the Mav a little over 3,000 for the 1st change then made my next "Works" appointment at my Ford Dealer when I saw 15% oil life (which was just under 10,000 miles). Check oil intermittently for color and level. Only once on one of my previous 2.0 Ecoboosts did I add a little oil and that was only few weeks before my 10,000 interval change. Love my Mav.....

Zero sympathy for the planet or future generations of the human race, though? 🤷‍♂️

Anyway, if you're serious about that interval, your oil will never be anything even close to "toasty." ;)
I'm amazed at the degree of certainty people express on this subject and on global warming. All I know is that it is very, very rare for clean oil to be a detriment to an internal combustion motor. I also know that the earth is coming out of an ice age and has been long before the industrial revolution. If we had sympathy for future generations, we'd all jump off the roof of the tallest building; but then there wouldn't be future generations. It doesn't hurt to go 10K between oil changes until it does.

To me it seems just…wrong…to have the luxury of changing oil every 10k miles. But that’s what the manual says. I did go with full synthetic. I figure with such an infrequent interval, who cares if it’s expensive.

I also rotated the tires for first time. I used to do it every 5k. But some mechanics and websites say UP TO 10K as well. So it makes sense to do it at same time as oil change.

Loving this Maverick!

Odd thing on this subject: I have my oil changed at the dealer because I have the extended warranty and want no issues. I also spend 6 months up north and 6 down south. Both dealers I use put the sticker on the windshield telling me when to get my next oil change and it's 5K miles. (yeah, I know they want the business but if it's completely unwarranted the publicity they could face has significantly more financial impact than the profit from the oil change.)

I am in one of those that will change the oil when I get the notification it needs to be changed. On the F-150 I had, it was usually 7500 miles. Lexus popped up and they changed it every other time, alternating with oil conditioning, whatever that was. Every 3000 moles is the interval we used when we had lead in our fuel. Even my father, who was an old-time mechanic, finally increased his interval to 5000 miles in the 90s.

Antidotal stories aside.
Hasn't oil performance and future longevity been tested by folks using Blackstone and other testing labs??
As I recall all have come back good for further use. 🤷‍♂️
I'm sure if even one came back bad, we would have read about it, over and over...... 😉

I’ve always done 5000 mile changes and only with synthetic. Buy oil and filters in bulk so it’s always on hand. I never did a blackstone analysis, usually by feel and visual of the dropped oil I’d adjust but it’s been a proven method for me.
I see it as long as you actually change the oil whether is 5k or 15k at least it’s something.

🤔 I don't always display it. I wait for the warning to come up. I think it's at like 10% life left when the warning comes on.

Umm, yes but not oil life monitor. On my Silverado it was a screen you could see with out going into menu, settings, etc.

Sorry, I miss typed. Miles to empty is right on the main screen, to find oil life you have to go into menu....

More "anecdotal" information. I previously worked with a fellow that had work for Lubrizol, a manufacturer of additives for engine oils and other transportation-related fluids, as an analytical chemistry scientist. They would run racks full of engines for tens of thousands of miles at speed(?), and many until they seized (lots of tens of thousands of miles). His job was to test the oils after the brutality.

Oil manufacturers add enough additives to protect engines for a long time. He claimed that 3,000, 5,000 and even 10,000 miles between oil changes was overkill.

I will, however, change my oil at 3000 miles, after "break-in", and then every 10,000 miles after that with confidence. Cheers.
