That SERIOUSLY cracks me up that the "Biggest Ford Truck Dealer" is in Tampa. :D
I live in Tampa. Went to see these guys years ago. Got treated like @#$%. Decided to leave, but they couldn't find the used car manager to give me my vehicle keys back. Having heard this about them before, I gave them a spare key to "test drive". Used my real key to walk out and leave.

Yes, you can. Probably one of the most expensive variants.
you can get 4k towing on the XL, the XLT, and the Lariat. That's the one option available to all three of the regular trims. So you can purchase an XL hybrid with the only options being AWD(required for 4k towing), and 4K towing if you desire providing you can find one that sparsely equipped or wait for it to be built.

No dealer would ever order one equipped that way. They like to load them up.

The remaining '24 models are getting snatched up quickly. I made the decision earlier this year to get a Maverick but I didn't like the look of the '25 models (it has grown on me after seeing them in person). At the minimum, I wanted a 2024 XLT EcoBoost w/ 4K Tow package. I looked at dealerships in every corner of Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and western Montana. I found that a lot of dealers were offering incentives to get '24 models off the lot to make room for '25 models. I noticed in more urban areas like Seattle, Portland, Spokane, and Boise, there was a lot of hybrid models for sale; probably a 3:1 ratio of hybrid to EB models. It could be survivorship bias but I have a feeling that dealers are going to order more of what there's demand for, hence the surplus of hybrids in those areas.

I wound up going to a dealer about 300 miles away from where I lived but they knocked $3,000 off the sticker price simply by virtue of wanting to get the 2024 models off the lot. In addition to trade in value, $500 bonus cash for working in law enforcement, and another $500 in bonus cash for switching to Ford from another major brand; I only paid about $26,500 for my Mav.

I live in a rural area with lots of farmers and ranchers so I see a lot more half ton and three-quarter ton trucks. I've seen probably a half-dozen or so other Maverick owners ('22-'24) driving around my county. Although I've seen 2-3 new '25 models pop up around town in the last few weeks. When I was at my local Ford dealer getting an oil change a week ago I saw they only had one Maverick on the lot, but probably a dozen or so Rangers.
You got a great deal buying your Maverick. Now be kind to the other happy Maverick owners when you pull them over for smiling!

Out here in Kansas Dealers think they are gods.. Went 200 miles to Kansas City because Dealer had one.. Got there. Salesman- looks at me, and says it's on order.. but we can sell it to you after it comes in, give us a deposit. Another Kansas City dealer had one-- $10,000 over MSRP list price!!!

Well, I called my sister in Detroit, She just retired and a former Cadillac Salesman.. Go shopping for me.. As FORD.COM was showing over 50 within metro Detroit..
Found the color options, hybrid and pilot 360., full size spare.. Ford connect.. Cut a deal far below MSRP.. I drove 2 days to Detroit,... Walked out with the keys about 12 minutes after my sister and I arrived. They wanted to give me pawn shop prices for my trade. But sold my trade to my nephew in Detroit for $5000 more than that pawn shop price.. and 5 grand less than a used one at CARMAX..

REMEMBER--- A Dealer is ONLY a delivery point.
Everything besides price and not in writing, is total BULL $H!T

Years ago you could pick up a new Ford at the Highland Park Detroit Assembly Factory..

Including taxes I bought it for under $28K- It was pre-tariffs and just when the 2025's hit some dealers. New is still new..model year does not effect warranty.

It’s true that they like to load them up. But in reality those are Likely the most costly options on an XL and are the options they’d try to sell you anyway. Then there’s the copilot 360 that has the backup sensors. That’s probably something most people would want anyway, so I think they likely would order it after unsuccessfully try to talk you into the XLT.

In Ontario, there seems to be as many white XLs with 4k towing as black Lariats.... and that's the annoying thing, at one end it's any color you like as long as it's white, at the other; as long as it's black.

I don't think I would ever choose a black vehicle unless there was no other option because black shows even the slightest imperfections. And it's tough to keep clean. I did not particularly want white because it looks too much like a commercial vehicle. But with the stripe on the hood that comes with the black appearance package, it brought a little life to it. I still would have rather to get a color such as the eruption green. But this is the only one they had on the lot that was a hybrid. So I chose it. And people complimented it. It seems that other people like the color combination more than I do.

Although we don't order XL Hybrid AWD with 4k, we do order XL Hybrid for the most part. They sell the best. We don't carry Lariat because they seem to sit the longest. A smart dealer will order what moves not necessarily what has the most markup or profit. Only takes 2 XL to get the same profit as one Lariat.

Just order a new truck the way you want it, for 3k more it's worth it. The wait time is only a few months, and you get a warranty with employee pricing. If you find something while waiting, just cancel your order. You win either way.
That’s exactly what I did. I totally agree. Totally worth it in the end if you can stand to wait a few months. Mine is due in this week. Order went in on 4/6/2025.

I've had a bunch of Blue and Red F-150's a White Ranger a Lead Foot F-150 and now My Current Desert Sand 2025 Maverick and the Desert Sand is by Far the Color I've liked the most. It doesn't show the dirt much and still looks clean when dirty and doesn't show water spots.

First post.

Been trying to pick up a Mav for about 3 months. Ideally just looking for an XLT with the 4k tow package. Relatively flexible on the color.

First, spent time chasing down used options. Found a handful of options but the prices basically right around 30k (before taxes and fees) for an XLT w/4k tow and not much else (2023). Then, seemed like that was a little bit silly because you can get a new XLT for about $33k with a full warranty. Would love to get a new '24 but none near by me and shipping kind of kills the deal.

Anyways, some people seem to be saying they are ordering and waiting. Meanwhile, following the market for a while, it doesn't look like anything is selling - used or new. Especially on the used - many of the same trucks that were listed 3 months ago are still sitting around. Some of had some modest price drops but lots of other sitting at the same price.

So what really is happening with the market?
Ford has a lot of fleet buyers for the maverick especially the XL Hybrid. Big money saver for a city delivery truck.

Indeed. Locally, my water company, power company, gas company and city public works all use minimally optioned maverick hybrids. I see them everywhere.

Yep, I just looked at their website inventory of MY24 XLT's. They have 19 with selling price as low as $26,548 and a high of $30,045 and appear to have the 4K Tow Pkg that OP mentioned.
They sold every single one of those MY2024 Mavs. They were a great deal! They just have MY2025 now on their site.
