Sounds like the deal I'm looking for! What trim/options did you end up with?
2024 XLT Ecoboost. 4k tow, luxury interior, modular bedliner, and CoPilot 1.0. I really wanted to get the FX4 package too but I couldn't find one for sale anywhere that had both 4k tow and FX4. 4K tow was more important to me so I gave up the FX4 for that. I also really wanted it in the "iconic silver" color but could only find that color for hybrid models. I wasn't opposed to getting a hybrid but I wanted AWD because of snow/ice my area gets in the winter.

Long McArthur Ford in Salina, KS currently has 14 new 2024 Ford Maverick XLT's with the 4K Tow Package. They are discounted over $5K with a sale price below $27K. Contact Tim Bartz and he will help you out.

I live in a rural area with lots of farmers and ranchers so I see a lot more half ton and three-quarter ton trucks. I've seen probably a half-dozen or so other Maverick owners ('22-'24) driving around my county. Although I've seen 2-3 new '25 models pop up around town in the last few weeks. When I was at my local Ford dealer getting an oil change a week ago I saw they only had one Maverick on the lot, but probably a dozen or so Rangers.
Where I live, suburbs of LA, the Maverick is the most common pickup for private parties, businesses and municipalities.

Most people here don’t need to haul a horse trailer down a muddy road with ruts during the rainy season. So the small size, ease of navigating traffic, good fuel economy, low purchase price, acceptable off-road capability and decent payload capacity make it the right choice for most jobs.

Welcome to the new post pandemic tariff world of automobile new and used market. No significant deals to be had and decent deals dry up quickly as supply just isn't there for it to be a buyers market for entry level vehicles.

Grab what you can or order if your serious a prices are only going up.

Automakers surged as many vehicles into dealer lots as they could to beat tariffs, so that's probably contributing to the high number of Mavericks available. Only the accountants / AI algorithms know what determines when stagnant vehicles will sit for awhile, get incentives, or get really big get them gone incentives. I don't think you'll ever see the later for the Maverick, but probably some nice ones for ecoboost, and it seems like you can still get small discounts on the hybrid.

> it doesn't look like anything is selling - used or new. Especially on the used - many of the same trucks that were listed 3 months ago are still sitting around.

I wouldn't treat internet inventories as gospel.

My 25 Mav sat on the original dealer's lot for a few days, then it was transported to my local dealer where I completed the sale.

This after trying to buy six different trucks only to find they weren't actually available. Each time the sale's guy story was the same "ooh, we just missed it. It's being sold as we speak".

I watched the VIN for the Mav sitting in my garage on the dealer group's websites to when it was no longer listed.

It remained in that original dealer's inventory, at least according to the website, for 2 more weeks. Then it showed up on my local dealer's website for another 2 weeks.

Ford's website which enables you download your window sticker had it gone within 2 days.

Updating inventory just isn't a priority for dealers.

I just traded my 2024 XLT Hybrid for a 2025 Ecoboost XLT (needed 4000 tow package). Dealer had 23 Mavericks on the lot; 4 of which were AWD XLT's with the 4000 tow package. I got the friends and family deal and a $1000 military discount from Ford. Excellent trade in value also. I'm in NC
I thought you could get the Hybrid AWD 2025 Mavericks with the 4K Tow Package?

Reading this search, it seems there are lots of XLT's at dealers, but not many XL's, or Lariats to pick from. I agree the XLT's are a sweet spot, but some of us want all the bells and whistles, or just a plain jane work truck. That's finding the "Needle in the haystack"

Too many ordered with BAP here, so you get the cab too hot from the black roof, stripes on the hood that only look any good on white or pale colors, wheels which are the same wheels but painted probably more cheaply than it costs to chrome them, which you could rattle can... worthless package to me. So I'm looking at them going XLT yiss, 4k yiss, lux pack yiss, BAP, ewww donotwant. Also a lot in worktruck white, but it seems to me that everything vaguely commercial that gets painted white has terrible paint that breaks out in rust streaks in 3 years. So even if I got it $2000 cheaper so I could wrap it in something less blizzardy to look at, I'd still be concerned about that going on underneath.

By then, the GPF wielding 2026’s will be selling for $45k and $36k for an unused 2024 will seem like a bargain.
Yes, exactly what the world needs, exhaust filters...

I want 1997 back.
