2025 Lobo, costco gas

Dragy verified, same road, same temp, weeks apart

87 - 14.62 @ 92.21
93 - 14.71 @ 93.02

Mpg is pretty much the same as well, premium vs regular.
I have been wondering what my LOBO would do in the quarter. Considering the LOBO weighs in at around 3731 pounds mid 14's is really good. Thanks for posting.

Updated original post. I'll try to get a better launch with the 93 octane and oil change is a few weeks.

Yes, seeing that now. I'll probably still run 93 in the summer and 87 in the winter.

Thanks what year is Your Maverick? I know on Zeroto60 times they show the AWD 2.0 EB Mavericks from 14.5 -15.1 in the 1/4 mile.

I will for a run. Probably,
Oh yeah, before you time it run a few tanks of real gas through it so the puter’ gets used to the high. :’p

You did do that for the previous test right ?

Usually run it at the end of the tank, gives it about 300 miles to adjust
Doesn't take that long, once the octane change has made it through the loop of fuel lines, the engine has adjusted. I notice the change in throttle response within 2 miles when changing fuel types.

Yup,premium is a waste of money with our maverick. I tow a 3100 lb boat.its not needed.
In my opinion unless I'm racing someone, whatever small improvement in performance of premium vs regular is not 70-80 cents/gallon worth of improvement. Unless my vehicle is pinging when using 87 octane, or it says premium fuel REQUIRED, it's getting 87. Even then I'll probably TRY mid grade first. 😅

Were You guys using Sport Mode at the Track and on the Draggy Runs?
I was. I tried sport, tow & haul & normal modes, sport was the quickest.
