I think for me it was the tailgate assist as well. But it's a shame to remove the side bracket and lose a tie-down point, so I made a replacement tie-down. Enjoyed making them enough that I keep making more. Please buy one.

Works well and clears the new strut and no issues with the cable. And made in the USA. I have a thread here in the For Sale forum.

Add the bracket back that was removed!
Hopefully you will still have these when I get to my tailgate assist project. Thanks for sharing this. I have it filed in memory.

For my 25 Maverick, I bought a tonneau cover, mud flaps, and tailgate letters.

If you're like me, you'll buy a crap ton of stuff, stick it in the garage and forget about it.

Until months later, then it's like a second Christmas!

First thing I bought: Lasfit LED reverse bulbs
Second thing I bought: Gloss black tailgate letters
Third thing I bought: Start-X remote start

I found a great deal on Michelin X-ice Snow winter tires so I bought a set for the Maverick ... more than a month before I ordered the truck itself!

That is what I normally do. I normally have a pile of stuff I already bought. Then never get around to doing anything with it. So this time I am trying something different. I piled it up in my "for later" shopping cart and will add a couple of things at a time and see if I get those done before moving onto the next things.

Hard tonneau cover and mud flaps. Ordered them from Amazon, had it waiting in the pole barn. They delivered it in the evening, next morning I put them on, or I should say we put them on.

I originally ordered it with a soft tri-fold but was persuaded to delete it to get a build date. During that time frame I looked what was available and a few u-tube videos along with posts on this site. Decided to go with hard vs soft do to added security, eliminate noise from the soft (which can flap), and to handle weight from wet snow, lastly the price. I think it was right around $360.

I had ordered it with floor mats, but added the dash storage, storage in armrest, and wastebasket/drink holder. Besides the tonneau cover the rest is Mabetts add-ons.

I got my Maverick used so it had the mud flaps, bug defector, floor mats and rubber bed mat. I added 2 things a dash cover because the plastic dash is saying cheap which if it anything like older pickups adds up to cracked baseboard tops in a few years so some protection from the sun and 2nd (delivered the same day) was a tailgate assist.

Stubby Jr. radio Antenna (very low clearance garage parking in one area), knockoff WeatherTech style floor mats, and the WildTop canvas bed topper/rack, all ordered the same day I brought it home. All are great!

Floor mats. Carpet in a truck makes as much sense as carpet in a bathroom.
I bought a double wide mobile home in 2001. For some reason they built it with carpet in the bathroom that is adjacent to the master bedroom. It was as bad as you imagine. Got rid of it after my tub overflowed and the cheap particle board underneath almost gave way. The carpet was strong though. When I removed it I found out it was the only thing between me and the ground.
