Does your vehicle have the B&O sound system? If so, were you able to retain the surround sound setting?

I did see a Lariat Lux version of this kit but im not sure what the actual difference is other than price.

Seems like no two years ever had the same standard equipment, but I can confirm my MY23 XLT Lux has the base stereo as well. For now… MUHAHAHA.

Since I dont really understand the whole stereo thing. Is this considered a new head unit? What would the wattage supported be different?

Mine is an XLT so I do not have the B&O sound system, however, the same website offers a sink three to sink for conversion for your lariat. I believe you will retain your b&o sound system.

I have been looking for a good plug and play sync 4 kit for a while now. After a long time searching, I came across https://oemplusupgrades.com. Sam’s pricing was on the lower side for these kinds of kits, so I was hesitant on what I would receive. I was wrong! It truly was plug and play, other than a few software glitches that were easily fixed with forscan and a session with Sam over the phone. I also opted to add a SiriusXM antenna so now I have full xm radio!

I also have the voice assistant and wireless CarPlay. This is miles above the horrendous factory non-sync system!

It is a tight fit getting everything in place but once it’s in, I didn’t have any concerns.

The APIM provided is one out of an f150 so it has the navigation map but unfortunately can’t be activated as it’s a connected subscription and as it’s not native to the Maverick, can’t be activated. That’s not an issue for me as I prefer Apple Maps anyways, but having the map is nice anyways.

Does the sync 4 navigation work with your kit? There are some others out there where it does not.

Unfortunately, in sync 4, Ford made nav a subscription based service so it does not work however, the map is still present.

Same with this site, this company provides the kits to panda motorworks. I opted for the 8” as I don’t like the larger screen.

8” kit uses original display, but looks better. 12” kit includes new display and bracket.

If you have a windows laptop, Sam easily walks you through the process. That’s how it’s been for me. And I’m one of the first users so any changes we make to the acm and apim will be fixed prior to shipments going forward.

No windows based computer, Apple. I have very seriously considered this upgrade, but there is this nagging concern that it is pnp with a caveat.
