The days-on-lot numbers are telling me that the Mav is now overpriced and buyers are balking. Its nowhere near the severe issue with overpricing on the F150, but its getting up there.

bought my 2025 XL in march. live in SF but the only model Maverick any Ford dealership had in the bay area were Tremors, Lobos, and Lariats. XL & XLTs do not stay on the lot around here, so I had to travel to the valley to find a lot XL Mav. even with markup an XL can be had for the low 30s, but sticker price for the top shelf models are absurd, almost every dealership had one or two Mavs stickering in the 40s, the highest i saw was 47. paid 32 for mine.

With market supply, anything getting near 30 is a really tight supply because the inventory includes in transit. The numbers aren't really that high considering it includes transit time. Many vehicles spend a month or more in transit especially those arriving via rail.
F-150 = (218/79)*30 = 82 days market supply
Maverick = (31/16)*30 = 58 days

Can you share those Days-On-Lot nmbers for the Maverick with us? It's not in the OPs data.
Locally, I'm still not seeing Mavericks stay on the lot very long at all.

So by total sales volume it goes:
  1. F "series" trucks (So F150 to F750??)
  2. Explorer
  3. Maverick
It's the #3 best selling vehicle in Ford's lineup, which includes an entire family of trucks. So, pretty darn good.

Probably logical that at minimum buyers are stepping down in trims to offset rising cost.

100% if I were buying a 25MY right now I would just get an XL hybrid FWD with nothing, and it's probably realistic to get one for $27K before taxes and fees. Considering the original model was actually more like $22K, this new one has slightly more "stuff" (for better or worse), all the inflation and tariffs...that is still a reasonable price for what you get in my opinion.

Got a June 23 week date of production of a 25 Lariat Hybrid AWD, but now with the rare earths metals shortage and brand new tariffs on aluminum and steel, I am not optimistic. I will not get one if the price goes up though. Still have my 22 running fine but lacks AWD and full warranty now. Now that I have proved the Maverick is worthy of being my last vehicle as a daily driver, this will indeed be my last new one. That is the plan anyway....

I purchased a brand new 2024 in April of 2025. It had been on the lot since Oct. 2024. How do I know that? State inspection sticker is dated 10/24. So 6 months on the lot and on April 2, 2025 when I went to look at it they had 2 more 2024 Lariats, 4 xlts, 2 xls, and 2 Tremors. When I was leaving the dealer on April 3 with my Maverick they had also sold 1 of the Tremors, 2 xlts, and 1 other Lariat. They had some 2025s but they were Lobos or Tremors and the price was to high.
Bought my 25 XL AWD/4K in April too. Got a great deal on it, as sticker was a job 1 build before prices went up.

Where do you see the days on lot number? I can't find it.
You can infer it from the gross stock number. 31,300 Mavericks in stock. Virtually all of that number will be on dealer lots.
