It's a Ford, and a Maverick at that. Highly doubt there's much difference or added sound dampening from xl to xlt to lariat.

Anysound dampening included with any maverick is meh at best., your best bet is to do the entire interior with sound dapening. Both butyl and foam for the best results.

As everyone mentioned, they are the same exact "build quality".
The trim level is NOT about reliability or durability, it's about included features/options.

I bought an XL last month. After trying to have a keypad installed a week ago (dealer had me sitting there in the disservice center lobby for 6 hours before they announced they didn't have the right part, which they said they did have before I made the appointment...typical dealer behavior) I figured I should have just got an XLT. BUT, the keypad is not standard on XLT anymore, '23 was the last year.

The main expense of the XLT "upgrade" is the rims. I do not appreciate or understand fancy rims on a pickup. And I think the radio has more spyware than the Sync3 on the XL. The XLT is mostly cosmetics, for an additional $2000.

Sync3 was only available on the Lariat for '22-'24. I'm afraid the XL and XLT only rated the "Connected Touch Radio".

Unless you own a Maverick Lariat model years 22 - 24 you are stuck with
The "Ford Connected Touch Radio" A piece of CR💩P infotainment system in non-Lariat models, that tries to provide features like voice control for various functions, including phone, entertainment, and climate. It is powered by Harman, a subsidiary of Samsung, which developed the software. The system also offers features like AppLink, which acts as Ford's software architecture, and includes 911 assist, which automatically dials 911 if airbags are deployed.

I couldn't agree with you more. I had a '23 XLT with this :poop:. It's not like Sync 3 was anything to rave about but it was a damn sight better than Connected Touch. At least you get Sync 4 across the board for '25.
