I like the concept but I think you should take it a step farther and incorporate a storage area that fits in the door. This way it could slip over the lip and not have to be glued or screwed.

How about that spot where the front seatbelt clips whack the door pillars? That spot is looking rough on my truck. Can't imagine what it'll look like after a few more years.

We currently do not have a better way to prevent seat belt collisions in this area, so the development process has been put on hold.

When I had my EV6, I looked into getting something similar. There was a popular market for these anti-scratch felt pads all over the car in different colors.

The plastic on the Kia was a lot more resistant to scratches though so I'd be interested in this for sure for the Maverick.

My only concern is getting owners to adequately clean the surface that they are applying the protector to.
If folks have already applied a spray or wipe on protectant to the surface of the plastic. All that has to be removed for proper adhesion. You can have 80% not have any problem with the adhesion. 20% will swear that there's not enough glue on it. They're the ones who haven't taking the time to properly clean the surface.
