I got $1500 off of sticker at my local Ford dealer. It was 4%. They called it a veterans discount.
Truck shows up, you don’t like something or it’s not exactly right, the customer loses $500

This is a bit overdue, but I want to chime in regarding my experience with Granger, which was nothing short of excellent. Chip was easy to work with, and after a few back and forth emails and a couple of calls, he placed my order on November 13. I almost immediately received a VIN number and an estimated build week (January 13-17). The truck was delivered in mid-February, but due to my work schedule, I wasn’t able to pick it up until March 10. But given the delay, I was able to join the IL Farm Bureau right after ordering, and they had no problem with applying the $500 cash back offer.

After it was delivered, I exchanged emails with Shelby to finalize the paperwork, as much as we could. I’m in Chicago, so the flight from O’Hare to Des Moines was quick and easy. Steve from Granger (a total hoot to talk to!) picked me up from the airport, and after a quick meeting with Shelby to sign the paperwork, I was out the door. She was even able to process my Illinois registration, and about a month later I received the plates and title in the mail.

Easily the best auto buying experience I’ve ever had. Their 3% below invoice was way lower than anything I could find in or around Chicago, and their doc fees, etc., were also substantially lower. A great experience – highly recommended.

I just got home with my 2025 Maverick XL Hybrid purchased from Grainger. Everything was great. We did all the paperwork over the internet. After a $50 flight to Iowa, thanks Allegiant!, Marsha drove me from the airport to the dealership. I did a brief inspection then gave Shelby a cashier's check and she gave me the paperwork and keys and off I went. Everything was as it was supposed to be. No funny business or games. Within a few days Ford notified me of my earned points and a few days later Shelby e-mailed that my $750 rebate had been approved and she was sending me a check the same day. That's how it is supposed to be. Quite a contrast from my local dealer experience.

The drive from Iowa to Maryland was pretty easy on a Friday afternoon/evening. It was mostly farmland and you can bypass most of the big cities. I stopped in Ohio near Pennsylvania for a few hours rest, then finished the trip Saturday morning.

I bought from Granger before and very pleased with the deal. Bought my 25 Lariat locally and paid $1200 more OTD but didn't need a flight to IA, get a hotel for 2 or 3 nights, buy gas, food and when I get home my truck will have an extra 30 miles on the odometer not 1300 so it was a wash for me.

Having said that Granger is still a great place to buy a Maverick and if I was younger I might of made that road trip again. Prior to Granger I made 2 road trips to Philly for my first 2 Mavericks.
