I have one! I am so excited. Maiden (for me) use in a few weeks. Three hours towing home so I can say my first ever towing was successful!! And just for more fun, the previous owner pulled it with a Mav, too!!

That is a perfect fit for the Maverick. These are on my camper list as well. My Wrangler TJ is only able to tow 2000 lbs as well. Congratulations.

I am looking at the Liv Camper 201BH. It says the dry weight is 2340 lbs. It is made out of thermoplastic, no wood or metal. Does anyone see anything wrong with the Mav pulling this with the 4k and towing package?

Is that the 9' or 12' model? Looks great!

HRG
It is the 9.0TD. The 12.0 is just a touch over the 2K limit and I'm not comfortable as a first-time hauler and camper in pushing the limits. :) Thanks!!!!

What is the dry weight?
The dry weight of a 2019 Coachmen Clipper Express 9.0TD is 663 lbs!!! It really helps not having water.

Congrats! I've had my eye on those for awhile. I'm finally renting one in 2 weeks. I tried to rent one last summer, but it was damaged the week before I had reserved it.

It's so hard to find a simple camper, for just one or two people, no need for a shower, etc. I just don't want to have to set up a tent anymore.

Had a 9.0 TD explorer with solar for 3 years towed behind my 2022 Maverick eco. Loved every trip

Yeah, the frontal area is 70 square feet.

In the 2025 maverick towing guide, it says 4k towing package EB is rated for 40 square feet frontal area, 4k lbs, 8,130 GCWR, 400 lb tongue weight.

If you keep it under 55 mph, it would be fine. But at 65 mph the aerodynamic effects are going to blow you around a lot and your mpg will be terrible.

Imagine pulling a 12 foot trailer with a load of gravel that weighs 4k lbs vs pulling an empty, 32 ft, triple axle, enclosed car carrier trailer that also weighs 4k lbs. The load of gravel would tow just fine. The enclosed car carrier trailer would be a nightmare at freeway speeds with cross winds.

It can be done. But Ford doesn’t recommend it.
