Well I hit 70k miles...still no issue with fronts amazingly but the rears are in need of replacement...where is everyone buying axles for these trucks? Local stealership wants over $400 each for the rears....any companies that support the site that we all try and help out??? otherwise whomever has in stock I can just get them there...

also, is there an aftermarket company making a stock replacement axle for our trucks yet?????

Thanks in advance....

this is the first mechanical issue I have had with my 2022 ECO 4K tow XLT....other than all the recalls...

Not sure where to get them but thats crazy, the awd rarely engages torque to the rear but guess they are spinning all the time. Ford needs to get it together with these axle shafts failures. Would like to know exactly what is failing, boots causing contamination or what?

boots are fine....joints are just worn...shake all over the place when i go under there and grab them..left way worse than the right side....typical shake when accelerating...

This is probably only the 3rd time I've heard a report of a failed rear cv axle. Is your truck lifted?

Makes you wonder if Ford will end up putting a recall out for these.

But yes, kind of odd the rears went before the fronts. Let us know if you find a place that's cheaper than the dealer!

Yikes,3 years and needing new axels already.i have a 53 year old Plymouth that's still on its original axel. Hope our maverick goes longer!

Has anyone tried to source the Tremor axles for their non-tremor Maverick? I wonder if OP could find those. Supposedly, they are beefier and all that.

tremor and lobo rear axles are very different because they have the torque-vectoring RDU. they cannot be used on regular awd mavericks, only a lobo or tremor.

tremor front axles can and have been used on the front of ecoboost mavericks but aren't compatible with hybrid models.
