Sure they can and will, but the extender is as simple as flip it out of the bed and your good to go. It also acts as a bed divider when inside the bed, and is easy to pop out whenever you want.
i thought about getting one, then i saw a posting about how it blocks the 12v flexbed ports when opened and closed and there went that idea.

how often are they used, and can you use a 90 degree USB cable? It is all how creative you can be. Honestly, I'd just pop it out in a few seconds as If I needed the port. I don't need the ports when driving so...

The location of the reverse sensor display (circled in red) perfectly blocks your view of approaching cars when backing into the street from angled parking. Why didn't they place it on the other side of the screen?

Why is it needed at all? If I'm backing up, I already know that I am in my truck and don't need a little picture to remind me. I hate anything that takes up screen real estate.

Is the *bleeping* gas "gauge" on the 2025. Whoever thought it was a good idea to have a 9 segment ugly "gauge" taking up all that vertical space needs to be taken out back and taught a lesson. In my 50 years of driving I've never seen a more stupid "gauge" in my life. Same pretty much goes for the temperature gauge but I don't look at that one as much.

This even beats out the off-centered rear license plate (which 3 people have already commented to me on).

What's your biggest complaint?
No complaints except my dash rattle.

I love the no-nonsense analog dials and gauges in my '23 XL. One of several reasons I dropped the idea of ordering a '25 in a different color was the FUBAR dash redesign. Other biggie was the removal of actual physical operat-without-looking HVAC controls. And, of course, the front end redesign.

The constant fear of getting rear ended!
Oh, and the color Orange.....I have however gotten 85% blacked out with inserts.

i camp all summer, so it will be a convenient charging port for us to recharge phones, speakers, lights, whatever while camping. just hope we don't kill the battery!

i don't know about a 90 degree cable. i only saw someone's post complaining that the extender blocks both ports when open either way, apparently only time it doesn't block the ports is when the extender is vertical from their photos.

The shifter is a new one to me. Different from any other vehicle that I've had. Though my other car I struggled to get muscle memory on how to get it into reverse.

I have laughed to myself about going from the off center front plate on my F150 to the Maverick off center in the rear! I guess I've grown so accustomerd to it that it doesn't bother me anymore...

The automatic bright switch that has to be set before you drive and doesn't keep in memory.

shouldn't take you long. took me a few weeks in my escape and i can shift it blind now. i do like the 'rugged' knob in the maverick better than the smooth plastic one in the escape.

interestingly when i had an edge as a loaner and it had a hard stop at each 'end' of the spin. i hated that.

I think my least favorite thing is when I look in my rearview mirror and see someone riding my butt, fearing I'll get rear ended and the Mav will get totaled. Other than that, I would appreciate the ability to manually select a gear(maybe because it had been a while since driving an automatic when I got the Maverick, or maybe because I like to know what gear I'm going to stay in driving through deep snow so I can better feather the skinny pedal)

Why didn't they place it on the other side of the screen?
You parked in the wrong row; yours is designed for parking angled the other direction.

Check your VIN; odd and even final digit indicate whether it is for left- or -right angled spaces.

But maybe Forscan can switch this for you . . .

🤪

Kick it down, wait two seconds and then it finally takes off
That sounds more like turbo lag than the transmission.

The engine sounds like a sewing machine.one of my other vehicle's is a hemi ram with aftermarket exhaust.
Yeah, but can your semi patch your pants?

🤔

As for myself, it's that delay as the seat belt nanny won't let me at my display even though all the belts are buckled.

A 70s flip mirror on ALL models. How hard/much would it be to include an auto-dimming mirror?
I hate auto dimming mirrors so I am glad it isn't on the Maverick.
