The most ironic (moronic) thing about the keypad removal is that Ford recently did an employee/customer survey about the top technologies the last 25 years and one of the popular ones was the SecuriCode. It was so popular there’s now an article on it discussing the history

mine was just programmed a couple weeks ago............I think the box it came on might be in the shed, I'll check the part number when I get home, but I believe that's correct. Can’t get the pic to upload?

I use the keypad DAILY.
Because I have it.

I hear people that don't have one rarely use theirs.

It saved my bacon yesterday.
I locked my keys in my truck 60 miles from home.

Help me understand how this works. My '24 does not have it, and if I leave the keys inside, I get a double-beep and the doors don't lock, so I can retrieve them. Does this alert need to be modified to use the keypad?

Looking to get the keyless keypad, I could swear it used to be on the Ford Accessories site, but for the life of me I can't find it any more. Is it not available for 2025 models? It does show up for 2024.

note: thanks for telling me you don't use your keypad. i have many reasons for wanting one, including that my family members can easily get into the vehicle if i'm not present. or that i can enjoy outdoor activities without having to keep my keys on my person, and leave them, cell phone, wallet, etc. safely locked in the car. everyone has different needs, and we use the keypad on our escape daily. we will use the keypad on the maverick as well.
Our 23 came std with it.never had it on a vehicle before, thought it would be nice to have.have not use it in the almost 3 years we have had our maverick.

My ‘22 hybrid Lariat has the keypad. In 2 1/2 years, I haven’t used it once. I lock/unlock the truck by touching the handle.
RonR, you are using the proximity sensor feature and your keyfob/remote is somewhere on your body or in your pocket. But a family member couldn't walk up and open your truck, one of the ways the OP says he uses the keypad.

That said, my '22 EB Lariat had a keypad. I never even programmed it. My '24 hybrid Lariat doesn't have a keypad and I don't miss it. But the OP says he likes the feature.

I don't use the SecuriCode keypad daily but I do use it a few times a month.

Nope 👇👇

Obviously, you don't leave your key on the seat, if you're going to be locking it inside the truck.
I did this to demonstrate that the key was in fact inside the truck.

I have the old style wired version that lights up and use it all the time. Cannot understand why Ford discontinued it. I mainly wish it required a longer PIN, since 3K possible combinations is not all that great. Probably good enough, though...

I thought it was stupid, but I use it all the time.
Key never leaves the pocket, just press 79 to lock.
Leave the key in a faraday bag when i go to the gym, pop in the code to unlock when I'm done and I don't have to worry about whether the key falls out while doing my fool workout.

yes. i was going to use my ford points to get one after i received the vehicle. trying to find it on the site now but i can't. at least not for a 2025, only for 2024 or earlier.
I ordered a set of roof racks from Ford Parts, they won't tell me when it will ship, I'm thinking it has to do with the tariffs

I do not have a Lariat.
If I leave my physical key inside it locks just fine.

yes. i can confirm, because i just did it today. left the key fob in the maverick, ran into the house to get something, came out and the damn thing self-locked, running, with the fob in the car. i had to go back into the house, get the other fob, unlock door, get in.

will be adding that keypad as soon as it arrives!
