24 hybrid with 27,000 miles and at 50-60 mph up hill under acceleration it shudders. Took it to dealer this morning. Hopefully no hassles. Told them cv Axle possible and didn't write that on the order. Will post when I get the results.

Hey congrats! Seriously though....you're going to get the upgraded CV axles and it will hopefully resolve your problem long term. Your Maverick will likely come back to you feeling way better than it has recently.

Well got the call and at least they found axles are bad. Only have one so have to order the other. Hope it is the upgraded one.

It will be. Do a search and find the updated part numbers here on the site and double check with service just to be sure.

Upgraded Axles ? so glad to hear that as I replaced drivers front at 40k miles & now at 60k the inner cv is again gone sour ! ( 2023 hybrid )

I noticed my shudder a couple of months ago. At 26K miles I replaced the tires thinking/verifying that the tires were not the issue. Took it in this morning and they are replacing the axles under warranty.

I have a 23 hybrid but I'm only at 17,000 miles. I'm afraid 3 years will pass, and the warranty will expire, before I experience the dreaded shutter.

Hybrids are the only ones who have an "upgraded" or different part#. We still don't know enough about the upgraded axles but can say at minimum they are longer.

EcoBoost (non-Tremor) and Tremor CVs remain unchanged.
