I've just returned from a 6,000 mile round trip from Toronto to Yosemite Valley. Here are my mileage figures. Note. Most of the trip was 65~75 mph with heavy winds.
Total trip 6,241 miles average mileage for the entire trip 20.63 mpg.
Specific details - 55~60 mph mileage was over 30 mpg
70 mph - mileage 20 mpg
75 mph - mileage 18 mpg
70 mph with 40 mph winds. 13 mpg.
I loved the Adaptive cruise control which worked extremely well though required manual input for construction speed zones.
The BLISS works very well when towing with trailer specs added. Much appreciated compared to my 22 Maverick where BLISS is disabled when towing.
I have the pre-trailer backup and hitch assist version, but it is no problem as the rear camera has a trailer ball hitch feature which is very useful.
Bottom line. Expect a 50% reduction in fuel mileage if you go much above 60 mph.

To compare, the same trip two years ago with this trailer and equipment with our 22 Hybrid averaged 23 mpg, but half the time we were on 55 mph roads. The AWD and 4K upgrade did not cost much extra in fuel efficiency and might have been close to the same if we too the same route.

this is a super informative thread, and I don't have a hybrid maverick at all.

however, towing that with my ecoboost, I would probably expect 3-5 mpg less. the 55-60 at 30mpg being the 5, and I've experienced 13mpg or less towing in high winds at 60+.

OP, I assume you are referring to a 25 Maverick? Your profile still says 22 Maverick...Is your 25 Mav also a hybrid?

The perspective in your picture makes it look like there is a tiny person standing on the bed of your truck. Much like the pictures people take "holding up" the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

edit: My apologies if I'm being insensitive and they are standing on the bed of your truck.

Is your maverick a 2025 hybrid with the 4k tow package? or was this towed with the 2022 hybrid from your profile?

I guess I forgot to update my profile...I have a 25 Maverick now with AWD 4K Hybrid.

3 to 5…. So 18 mpg for hybrid and 15 mpg for ecoboost at 75 mph. 18/15=1.2, or 20% more efficient. Un-ironically, the Atkinson cycle engine in the hybrid is 20% more efficient than an Otto cycle engine. Same with 30/25=1.2

At freeway speeds, it is a continuous load, so no regenerative braking to add to the mpg difference.

I also get similar ecoboost mileage, 13.9 mpg at 75 mph, except I’m on 255/65/17 AT tires and 2” lift, decreasing efficiency by 8% from rolling resistance and wind drag.

Math checks out.

Except I do not have an Ecoboost...its an AWD Hybrid.

I didn’t state that you have an ecoboost.
sorry...my mistake. I seen the thread you had responded to a different contributor.
