The seatbelt warning was digging, even though I had it on. I had a box of stuff in the passenger seat, so I thing it was self inflicted. The other thing was a right trailer light warning and trailer wiring module failure, even though the trailer lights looked ok.

Any idea what the total weight of the trailer was, and any other cargo?
Website has the trailer Weight at 850 empty and rated for 1650. It was full of household stuff with a couple heavy items, but nothing crazy.

This is common in all modern cars, and drives me crazy! My Hyundai does it with my laptop in the passenger seat... but only sometimes!

Check the manual under seatbelts. You can shut off the ding. The bypass sequence is in the manual.

Good to hear, we've been discussing renting that uhaul for about a 300 mile round trip to pick up a bunch of stuff at IKEA the wife has been wanting. Definitely pleased to see the mpg stayed decent too. Do you have the 2" ford ball mount and ball?

I got the ball from Walmart. There is a lot of slop and it rattles.
