I havent even owned 4 since 2003... '97 escort, '09 Escape, '23 Maverick... haha
To be fair, my vehicles since then were: 2005 Dodge Dakota, 1999 Dodge Stratus, 2006 Saturn Vue, and then 2024 Ford Maverick. Great Recession victimized me.

The timing on this thread made me laugh a bit. I was literally texting a great salesman this morning to calculate my cost for trading my 2022 for an essentially identical 2025 sitting on a local lot. Even after a $750 incentive, the numbers just didn't quite work for me. I asked myself "Will I be $12,000 happier if I do this trade?". And the answer was "no".

BTW, I was a bit surprised to look on cars.com and see plenty of 2025s sitting on lots near me (within 100 miles). Actual dealer inventory, not just customer purchases waiting for pickup. With real photos (not computer generated). Actually sitting on the lots for sale. In all kinds of trims and prices.

How the Maverick world has changed in three years. No more year long waits. Walk onto the lot, point to the one you like, get an incentive. Do some horse trading. Walk away with a new car. I missed that experience. Like the people in the tv, "it's baa-ack".

PS: I learned something today. You cannot combine the Veterans discount with other Ford incentives. You only get the higher of the two. At least according to the dealership.

all different types of vehicles at least. mine was the first car/just got my drivers license....in 2003. had it through school and into college. got a job out of college (geologist in oilfield) and that money allowed me to buy a slighly used 09 Escape in 2011....and used that all the way up till I traded it in for my maverick. rate I am going my last vehicle will end up being a HD full size...haha. car-suv-trucklet..full size/HD...haha

There was a backlog of MY25s that were being held by Ford pending a software update. Depending on how quickly those updates got through, I imagine a lot of those MY25 Mavericks haven't been 'available' for very long yet.

Only 3 trucks in 30 years: '96 Ranger, '01 Sport Trac, '24 Maverick. A bunch of SUVs, but delegated those to the wife & kids. Would have only been 2 trucks, but needed to trade the Ranger for a bigger back seat.

My Maverick is my 4th vehicle since 2008.
my purchases since 2008:

2009 - new '08 suzuki grand vitara 2.7v6 4x4 for 16k out the door after cash for clunkers & other incentives, 18 year old son driving it now with ~70k miles (you'll see why in a few more lines).
2013 - CPO '08 Audi A4 Avant 2.0. Loved it but didn't love the repairs, after a plastic intake manifold and turbo both out of warranty, I sold it.
2017 - new '16 Mazda CX-9 2.3 turbo fwd. mazda's awd did not impress me and as of last year when I drove a cx-5 turbo awd, it still doesn't.

2H 2021 - realizing that teen son would need a vehicle, so ordered 2x Maverick and 2x Bronco, one each from 2 different dealerships. (edit) my primary motivation for this was to ensure that I got at least 1 of each.

4/2022 - both Bronco orders built same week, configs similar but slightly different. bought both, kept one and made about 2k after tax on the other. the one we kept now has almost 7k miles, my wife drives multiple times a week but rarely even 15 miles a trip.
6/2022 - Maverick first edition arrives but has a sunroof and no 4k towing.
9/2022 - Maverick lariat lux 4k tow arrives, traded FE with 5k miles and made about 1k after tax and registration.

The Mavericks are my favorite by a lot. I really like the Bronco for my wife and when I get to drive it, but it would be such a bad choice as my daily.

Congratulations on your new Maverick. Thanks for adding the pictures. I like the garage pictures, it definitely shows one of the advantages of the Ford Maverick, and still plenty of room around it. Thanks for sharing and again congratulations on your new Ford Maverick.
Picked up my Lariat one week ago and sitting in the garage. Only drove it home so no real driving report other than I need more familiarity time on the tech stuff. I am an old geezer and old school so tech is not my strong suit. I know it only comes with a supplemental manual which is more safety focused so not much help with everyday operation. My old Mavericks also came with a supplemental manual that goes over all the dash, controls and is more useful. On the 25 I was told the full manual is available on the info screen but I haven't yet looked for it. Not used to the new style gauge cluster but thats not a big issue. Seems to ride a little quieter than my old ones but I usually say the same thing about any new vehicle I buy. :)

Having owned 4 Mavericks since Dec of 21 the new truck honeymoon is already over and still very pleased with my purchase and no regrets.
I know this is not a new idea but a garage is where you keep your vehicles.:D

I am thinking about trading mine in and getting the newest model. I know it comes with better interior, etc. now plus it has all wheel drive in the hybrid mode. For a man who’s traded his in every year how is it? What’s new? What can I expect?

Yes, nice truck! But I’m also interested in the covered car next to it, looks like a Caddy?

Download the manual from Ford's website, then you can read it to your delight :)

Thought about trading in a 2022 this weekend (to get AWD) but after thinking about redoing SIBL, mud flaps, tail gate lift, $1,860 in state tax and title, $120 for padded seat covers, WeatherTech mats, new tonneau cover, Ceramic Coating, just not worth it...since what I got drives like the day I bought it.

Was most surprised Ford Dealer offered $23,200 for my 2022 Mav Hybrid XLT /sunroof with 26,501 miles on the odometer, only paid $24,760.

You could remove all the items from yours except the SIBL.

Thought of that but all are a little worn...but it is tempting for AWD. Did Build/Price for same XLT + AWD new is $36,490. Big price increase in 2025 since I paid $24,760 for 2022, basically identical except added AWD..

Great looking Mav. Love the color. So I guess the little circle next to the front side light is part of the 360 camera system?

Hmm, you have the Mav in the garage but the vehicle next to it gets the garage and a car cover?? Is that really fair to the Mav???? ;)
That circle looks like a sensor for front park assist.
