wonder how a Maverick wagon would sell. No partition wit fold down rear seat for longer cargo or car camping.
That’s a fantastic idea. But if they made it into a wagon without a rear bulkhead, then it would no longer be a pickup. So not a Maverick. And since it is awd, it would technically be a compact SUV, not a wagon. They would probably end up calling it something like a Bronco, but that name is already used for their midsize SUV. So maybe call it something like a Bronco Sport to differentiate their compact SUV from their midsized SUV?

Hurlin' my cookies on that one... Yeesh! 🤢😖👎
Why so critical? That 2x8” construction will be nearly indestructible. It just needs a fresh coat of color matched Behr Ultra, stain blocking exterior paint and primer with all-weather protection. I mean this pickup canopy is the difference between housed and homeless.

Ok, point well taken. But whatever they loaded in it is putting a hurtin' on that Maverick. Even the tires are screaming bloody murder.

Doing quick maths, 2x8’s are 3.33 lbs per linear foot and if this cap is 5 feet long and the maverick is 6 feet wide, that would be 102 linear feet, or 340 lbs of lumber. That might be the first contributor. But at the same time, the insulating properties of 2 inch of wood would be amazing. You could sleep in there 365 days a year and never freeze to death.

The new cap looks great! The ARE cap is my favorite of all the ones I've seen for the Maverick, a bit too much $ for me right now though. Every time I see this feel like an F-150 and a Flex had a baby.

Just had my ARE cap installed today!!! Also had bug deflector and window vents installed. Liking my 2025 Lariat Ecoboost in Ruby Red Metallic. 2,250 miles on it and runs great like it should. Very pleased. I do run 93 octane in it.

looks awesome! Thanks for sharing. Makes me think I need a hood deflector. I assume that’s the one from Ford?

That is very attractive. Very nice.

The Steelers trailer hitch cover threw me for a minute. The pictures look like the south east; rural farm lands with numerous manufactured homes and mild weather, even though it is wintertime photos with no leaves on trees.

Then I saw the license plate. Not Pennsylvania. 🤣
Born and raised outside of Pittsburgh area. Work brought me to NC. Ended up retiring near Charlotte

Just wondering why the 93 octane fuel?
Most that know will tell you higher octane is a waste of money, but it is always the choice of the owner, regardless of what one thinks. You cannot take that away. Different strokes,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
